USS Galaxy Sim Log Stardate: 49610.27

******Lt Coe's personnel quarters******

Coe awoke to the sound of Beethoven's 4th Symphony playing softly throughout his quarters. It was a program he had recently placed in the computer database systems and was enjoying waking up in such style. He rolled over, his eyes still shut yet a smug expression streched across his face. The piece came to a dramatic end and this was his que to get up.

He had a quick shower before having breakfast. He did'nt feel like eating in the galley so he ordered a simple continental breakfast from his replicator. He consumed it quickly before peering at his watch. " Good," Coe remarked to himself, he still had 2 hours before he was required on the bridge, which meant, he had time for one of his favorite holodeck workouts. He quickly threw on his workout gear and headed toward the holodeck suite on deck 2.

******Holodeck 2******

Coe looked beneath him. All that could be seen was clouds, below, and above him. Yet he knew that beneath him lay 15,000 feet of air. He continued to climb, imagining that he was back in Germany where he grew up, scaling the impressive mountain before him. Although it was not the same thing, Coe still enjoyed climbing the holodeck mountains, even if it was just to keep fit and also, to keep his climbing skills acute. He looked up, pretending to visualise the the unseen summit which still lay abouve the clouds, he regathered his footing and began, once again, to ascend.

****** 2 hours later, enroute to main bridge******

After having a quick shower and changing into his starfleet uniform, Coe was now on his way to the main bridge where his first duty shift since the "Intruder" situation would take place. He was looking foward to the 2 Ensign's, fresh from the academy, coming aboard. Yet this was not to happen for another few days. He stepped inside the lift.

" Main Bridge," Coe spoke with a relaxed tone to his voice. The lift responded and Coe was on his way.

"Frontier"

Jamson sat in Ten-Forward eating dinner,he needed to talk with someone, but there was no one...not the Counselors...he didn't like that,he never went to the Counselors, not even after most of his family was killed by the borg and he joined the USS Longbow, not in the USS Ranger when one of his friends got killed. His Human side wanted to talk with someone but his Klingon side...

"Mr. Jamson, I need to have a word with you." Captain Price's voice came out from Jamson's comm badge.

Jamson tapped his comm badge and replied with a clear voice : "On my way Sir"

On his way to Captain Price's Ready room, Jamson thought about Shelby : "I wonder what's going on on with him... he seemed to be ok when I visited him last time in Sickbay." As Jamson was thinking he entered the turbolift and said : "Bridge".

****Bridge****

Jamson exited the turbolift and headed toward the Captain's Ready room when he noticed that some of the officers were looking at him.he didn't know why but he also didn't care, not while things were so complicated.

****Captain Price's Ready room****

Jamson entered the room and stood at attention.

"At ease Mr.Jamson" Captain Price said and added : "Seat down"

Jamson sat down and waited,he was a bit nervous speaking with the Captain.

Captain Price looked at him for a few seconds before starting to speak. "Mr.Jamson, I'll get right to the point. It's about Shelby and Commander Gael."

Jamson looked at Price with a serious look and said : "Sir?"

"Jamson, it's Shelby. He's lost his memory." Price said.

Jamson's eyes and look fell to the floor. He was shocked, but he recovered very quickly and said : "I understand Sir."

Price could feel the sadness inside Jamson, even though Jamson recovered very quickly, Price knew that inside Jamson there was sadness.

"Joerg Sterner is the new Chief of Security, he is now a Lieutenant." Price said. Price waited to see how Jamson is taking it and continued. "As you know, we are on our way to Trill because of Commander Gael, so right now there is no XO. I was thinking and I want you to be the new XO."

Jamson was still recovering from the first "hit" but this.....

"I am honored Sir" Jamson said with a proud voice.

"I thought you would, like all the klingons who are replacing their dead crewmates aboard the Klingon Ships." Price said.

"Here is your pip, Commander..." Price handed a small pip to Jamson.

Jamson looked at the small pip. Such a small pip and such a big responsibility. Jamson was not sure he was ready for this...but he wanted it so bad so he took it from Captain Price's Hand and placed it near the other 2 pips and said to Captain Price : "Thank you Sir." he is now a Commander.

Captain Price smiled and said : "Your personal PADD and all the information in it is in your new position. Good luck."

"Thank you again, Sir." Jamson said and left the room walking proudly.

"I need another drink." Jamson said to himself and headed back toward Ten-Forward.

"Eternity"

Jamson's shift was over and he was on his way to his quarters. When the turbolift arrived Lt.Coe stepped outside.

"Good morning Lieutenant" Jamson said to Lt.Coe.

"Good morning to you too Sir" Coe replied.

"How does it feel to be the new Chief Tactical Officer?" Jamson asked Coe with a smile.

"It feels great Sir" Coe answered with a smile.

"Just don't let it get to your head" Jamson said with a serious expression on his face and entered the turbolift.

"I won't Sir" Coe whispered to himself.

****Ten-Forward****

Jamson's mind was still in a mess. So many thoughts. Klingon thoughts and Human thoughts... so many problems with no solutions... the feelings... to act like a Klingon or like a Human... to kill and survive... there were too many voices in his head.

"Beer please" he asked from the Barman.

Just when Jamson took a sip from his beer he felt a touch of a hand on his shoulder. He turned his look and saw Mr.Shivok, the Counselor.

"Can I help you with something?" Shivok asked Jamson.

"I don't know...." Jamson replied.

**** Ten Forward ***

"Can I help you with something?" Shivok asked Jamson.

"I don't know...." Jamson replied.

"Yes?" Shivok didn't want to push to hard, because he was aware of Jamsons emotional conflicts.

Jamson took another slip of his beer and made himself more comfortable in his seat.

"Counsleor, what do you know about me?"

"I have carefully studied your personal records, I had the chance to see you in action and ... " one of the rare smiles appeared on Shivoks face "I have got my own secrect sources."

"So you know about my Klingon side?"

"Of course, although you don't have any Klingon blood circulating in your body, I can well feel the Klingon power and cultural inheritage inside of you. But..."

"But?"

"But you are NOT Klingon. You are human, who happened to learn of Klingon traditions and got raised in a Klingon environment. You can't change your skin. You will always be torn between the two worlds, as long as you don't embrace your heritage."

Jamson looked puzzled. "What do you mean by that?"

Shivok looked around in Ten Forward. The place became more and more crowded every minute. "This is not the right place to discuss this matter. I'd like to talk to you in my office later,... if this fits your schedule. Just that much for now: your Human and Klingon nature are in a constant competition. When you act as a Klingon, your Human part blames you for that, if you act as a Human, your Klingon part does the same. What ever you do, you have an excuse to blame yourself. Your personal ground estimate towards yourself is troubled, and I'd like to focus more on that point."

Jamson nodded. Shivoks words have come quite close to the point.

"OK, I'll be at your office at, let's say 1700?"

"Fine, I'm looking forward to this meeting." Shivoks comm badge chirped. He tapped it saying: "Shivok here."

[Sir, Lt. Taryn here, it's 1200, we're waiting for you.]

"I'm on my way, Shivok out." After a final nod towards Jamson, Shivok left the table and headed for the exit.

"Security meeting"

Ensign Sterner had been sleeping for a long time but he had to stand up and prepare for his first shift in security at 800 hours. He went to the replicator and ordered some coffee, ham and eggs, and a glass of orange juice. He sat down at a table and consumed his breakfast. He again thought of the events from the day before and the terrible accident his commanding officer had aboard the USS Hydden.

After finishing his meal, he put the dishes in the replicator and pressed a button. The replicator hummed and then the dished were gone. After that he went to the bathroom to take a shower and afterwards he put on his gold uniform to get ready for his shift.

He left his quarters and went to a turbolift. He was going down to deck 38, where the brig, the chief of security's office, and the rest of the security rooms where located. As he entered the chief's office a familiar face welcomed him.

"Good morning, Sir." Ensign Mulich greeted him.

"Good morning to you. But why do you call me 'Sir'? We do have the same rank, don't we?" Joerg asked astonished.

"Not any more, Sir. You have been promoted to Lieutenant junior grade by the Captain for your excellent work on the Hydden." Mulich replied. "Since you didn't know this, you probably don't know the news about Lieutenant Commander Shelby, do you?"

"No. What happened to him?" Joerg quickly asked.

"He has completely lost his memory due to a brain swelling. Since you are now the highest ranking officer in security, you are now chief of security. Congratulations Sir." Ensign Mulich explained.

"Thank you. This means, that this is my office now?" Joerg asked slowly.

"Yes, Sir. All the details you still need to know are on your desk." Mulich said and pointed toward the desk in the middle of the room.

"Ok. Thanks again for informing me." Joerg said and slowly went to his new desk.

On the desk he made out the computer terminal, a PADD, and a small pin. This pin was the hollow pipe that made an Ensign a Lieutenant junior grade. He picked it up and carefully placed it beside his full gold pipe on his collar. He then sat down and picked up the PADD. He read the lines, that explained him that he was promoted and put in charge of security aboard the USS Galaxy. After completely reading the message he thought that it might be a good idea to inform the other security officers of the changes soon. He tapped his communicator.

"Sterner to all security personal on duty. I need to inform you about some changes in security. Please meet me in the security office at 900 hours. Sterner out."

Since there was some time before the other security officers would arrive, he decided to check out his new office and the other security rooms. There was a small meeting room, which could also be used as an interrogation room, a small lunch room, the prison cells, and the weapons and armors storage room. After this little tour of his he returned to his office where some officers already waited for him. He sat down in his chair and waited until it was 9 o'clock.

"All right everyone. Thanks for coming to this meeting. As some of you already know I have been promoted to Lieutenant junior grade by Captain Price. But the real reason I brought you all here is, that Lieutenant Commander Shelby is no longer chief of security."

Some of the officers start to mumble, but Joerg continued with his speech.

"He had suffered from the head wound he received on his last away mission and completely lost his memory. Because of that Captain Price made me the new chief of security. I hope we'll make a good team. Any questions?"

The officers were still mumbling, but then an Ensign asked a question.

"Sir, I heard, that we are on our way to Trill. Is that correct?"

"Yes, we'll arrive there in about 20 hours. Thanks for the reminder Ensign. I didn't thought about it, but once we arrive at Trill you may take your shore leave there, just inform me BEFORE taking your shore leave. I'll stay on board of the Galaxy though, but anyone who wants to visit Trill may do so. Anything else?"

Since no other questions were asked, Joerg was about to end his speech.

"Good. That's all for now. Please return to your duty. Dismissed." Joerg concluded his speech.

One after the other left his office and after they all were gone he was again all alone in his office. He turned to his computer and started to look through the security reports left to him by his predecessor, Lieutenant Commander Shelby.

Shivok entered his office. Semanka, Liito, T'Leira, Taryn and Poitiers were already waiting for him and Shivok could see how hard they had worked during the last days: too many sad news about dead husbands to deliver and too many consolings of mourning childs. The list of casualties was long, too long for a single mission. And it may has not ended: the race against time to save the Cmdr. Gael's live and the still unknown situation in Sickbay...

Each counselor reported from their department and many important questions were discussed: how to best support Lt. jg. Sterner, the new Chief of Security. Lt. Samanka got the order to take special care of him, because he seemed rather young and uneperienced, and Shivok felt a sadness deep inside Sterner, whose origin he could't figure out yet.

Liito and Shivok decided to set a Betazoid ceremony in place at 1400 to give the left overs of the KIA's a place to mourn and get consolidation. Shivok made a note to inform Capt. Price about this event and if ever possible to participate.

Taryn reported, that all holodecks were booked out and running constantly. Several energy breakdowns were reported, because the repairs were still in progress and the Galaxy was far from having full operational status.

T'Leira reported on the situation in Science and talked in a un-vulcanish enthusiatic way of the newly promoted Chief of Science, Lt. T'Nevin. T'Leira seemed attracted by T'Nevins engagement for his work, a personality trait, which pleased Shivok as well. Although it is normal for a Vulcan to be very carefull in his work, T'Nevin did more than this, he was almost passionate.

At the end of the meeting, Poitiers stood up, came with a small black box to Shivok, gave it to him with a big hug and said to an obviously puzzled Shivok: "My best congratulations to you, Sir! You deserve it."

With at least two risen eyebrows Shivok opened the box, and found the small, black button inside, his evidence for his new rank, Lt. Cmdr. All others followed Poitiers and congratulated him, while his Betazoid part told his Vulcan part to shut up and accept these signs of emotional support.

But Shivok was Vulcan enough to put the pipe at his place and say:" Well, Gentlemen, you know your orders, we all have a lot to do. Lt. Liito, please stay here, all others dismissed."

******Main Bridge******

The turbolift doors opened and Coe found himself staring into the eyes of the ships new First Officer.

"Good morning Lieutenant" Jamson said to Lt.Coe.

"Good morning to you too Commander" Coe replied.

After this brief introduction, a small conversation followed and Commander Jamson left the bridge. Coe walked over to his post at the tactical arch and began reviewing communication's that the Galaxy had picked up whilst in the current sector. A few status reports from other federation ships in the vicinity showed that the USS Hood was having minor warp drive difficulties. Apart from this, nothing of any interest showed up and so Coe began to work on one of his long term problems, the best firing sequences with the best manoeuvres against the Romulan warbird.

Although the Romulan warbird was bigger and had more firepower than the Galaxy, The Galaxy was more manourverable than any warbird and therefore Coe felt confident, that if he figured out a good attack sequence, Coe could optimise the Galaxy's advantage, and put up a very, very good fight. Possibly even destroy the Warbird with fairly minor damage. But first he had to get a feel of the Galaxy, how she moved and what she had to offer. He put his head down and got into it.

*******4 hours later*******

Coe heard the whistle that indicated that his shift on the bridge was over. He got up from his chair where he'd been at science station 1 and walked toward the the turbolift. He called the lift and as the doors opened, Captain Price stepped out. Coe thought the Captain looked refreshed since Coe had last seen him and this was apparent when the Captain addressed Coe.

"How are you today 'mate?" The Captain inquired with a cheerful kick in his voice.

" Good thank you sir, and yourself?" Coe asked politely, attempting to sound as cheerful as his commanding officer.

"I'm fine, thank you Lieutenant. Anything interesting show up during your shift?"

" well sir, the USS Hood is having warp drive difficulties but apart from that it was pretty much an average day at the office."

The Captain gave Coe a faint expression.

" You say that as if it is a bad thing 'mate."

" No sir. I think we have all had enough action for a few days. Anyway sir if you will excuse me, I will be on may way to the holodeck, to work on some of my new programs. I purchased on Starbase 74 before I was transferred to the Galaxy." Coe had a big grin across his face as he said it.

" Oh yes, what are the programs of Lt? "

" A Klingon battleground!" Coe's grin widened.

"Very well Lt. you may take your leave of the bridge."

" Thank you sir." Coe nodded his head as he said it.

" Oh and JT." Coe was taken aback, he was not used to being called by his nick name by the Captain.

" Errrr, Yes sir?"

" You may want to talk to Commander Jamson, I think he has a passion for Klingon battlefields as well!" The Captains face also broke into a grin and the two officers smiled at each other before Coe replied.

" I might just do that Captain ." The Captain nodded his head and went and sat in his chair. Coe followed the Captains movements with his eyes before turning his head back around and stepping into the turbolift.

" I might just do that," Yet this time Coe mumbled it to himself as the turbolift sped toward it's destination on Deck 2.

"Relaxation"

Having established standard planetary orbit around the planet Trill, Captain Price felt better. He had kept his word to the Doctor and arrived on time. Reaching across his chest, he tapped his comm badge.

"Doctor Rousseau. Price here."

A busy Chief Medical Officer was rallying her trauma team, getting everything in order for the transport to Trill. Commander Carla Gael's body laid in a portable stasis bed motionless. The others were readying the other medical supplies and equipment when the Captain's hail came through.

"Rousseau here Captain."

"We have just established orbit around the Trill home world. You are cleared to transport when ever your staff is ready."

Doctor Rousseau could sense the concern in the Captain's voice. They had made the trip to Trill in just over 34 hours, which was excellent time. "Understood Captain. My team is standing by for site to site transport. I believe Chief Jensen has the beam down coordinates."

"Excellent Doctor. Please keep me informed of your progress. Price out."

The Captain leaned back in his chair and sighed. Finally he could relax. He expected to be in orbit around Trill for the next few days. Long enough for the Doctor to safely transfer Gael to the care of the Trill medical staff. Price looked around the bridge at the personnel on duty. A lot of the officers had requested shore leave requests to visit the Trill home world. After the stressful conditions of their last assignment, the Captain granted them all. Some how, in light of his First Officer's life and death situation, recreation on Trill did not seem that appealing.

The Captain stood up and turned to Lieutenant Coe, who had reported to duty to replace Ensign Freeman. "Lieutenant. You have the Conn. I'll be on the holodeck if I am needed."

Coe nodded his head slightly, "Aye Sir." He was glad the Captain was going to finally do something to unwind.

The trip to the Holodeck was brief. The Captain had to check a couple of suites, before he found one that was available.

"Computer. Prepare Holo-program 'fly fishing 1'." After a moment the computer responded that the program was ready. The Captain stepped inside.

The warm morning sun bathed the Captain's face as he stared out at the glistening water of the calm running brook. He could smell the fresh dew of the meadow, and feel the slight breeze as it blew across the water. Walking over to a pair of tall, old trees, and stopping at the wooden bench in their shade, the Captain smiled as he saw his fishing gear waiting for him.

A few minutes later, the Captain had fully suited up, and was wading into the calm brook. The peace and serenity surrounded him as he began practicing his casting technique, and smiled.

*****Lt. Coe's Quarters*****

Lt. Coe rolled over and moaned. He could feel head throbbing as he slowly got out of bed. He made a mental note that perhaps next time, he would not consume so much synthenol when he was with his friends whilst in ten-forward, the bartender was quite enthusiastic. He stumbled into the shower, cursing under his breath for being so stupid.

15 minutes later, Coe emerged from the shower feeling slightly more compass. He poured himself a large quantity of water, hoping to clear out his system and had a small bite to eat. He looked at his watch and noted that the ship would be quietest at the moment. Everyone was sleeping.

He changed into his uniform and looked into the mirror, good, he looked refreshed. He stepped out of his quarters and began heading down the hall toward the turbolift. A slightly tired looking Crystal Smith walked down the hall toward Coe. Coe smiled his charming smile before adding,

" We still on for that Klingon dinner?" Coe stopped in the hallway to looked at Crystal.

" Of course JT, I wouldn't miss this for a free holiday on Risa!" Smiling at Coe as she said it.

" Good." Was all Coe added before nodding his head in her direction and continuing on toward the bridge.

*****Main Bridge*****

Coe stepped out of the turbolift and immediately spotted Captain Price emerging from his ready room. Coe walked down the slight incline heading for the Captain.

" Lieutenant you have the con, I'll be on the holodeck if I am needed."

Coe was glad to see the Captain was finally taking some time off. He was quite sure that the previous few days of events had been hardest on the Captain.

" Aye sir." Coe said this and waited for the Captain to pass him on his way up toward the turbolift before continuing toward the command chair. He sat down and briefly rubbed his eyes before looking up at the viewscreen. He was impressed by the beauty of the trill homeworld that could clearly be seen by this far up in space. Remembering his duties Coe looked around the bridge and was suprised to see no senior officers at all. Presumably they were enjoying themselves on shore leave. Coe would be disembarking for his in a day he was only planning on spending a day sight seeing on the trill homeworld before having dinner at the Klingon restaurant and heading back to the ship. He looked forward to the moment in anticipation. But first he had some duties to assess to. He looked over to the young Ensign at the helm.

" Ensign Ty, estimated time until the arrival of the USS Melbourne? " The Ensign turning to face Coe as he heard his name mentioned.

" They should be here within the hour sir."

" Very well." Coe sat back in the comfortable chair and began to ponder what he would do during his absence from the Galaxy.

*****57 minutes later*****

" Lt. the USS Melbourne has entered the sector." Ensign Ty's voice penetrated Coe's deep thoughts. Coe watched the viewscreen and smiled as his former ship, the USS Melbourne dropped out of warp, 700,000 km ahead of the Galaxy. The two ships converged on one another and Coe stood from the command chair and took a few brief steps toward the large screen.

" Hail them Ensign Baker." Coe's eyes remained fixed on the viewscreen as he said it.

A few seconds later the image of the trill homeworld was replaced by the image of Commander Hethrow, an old friend of Coe's.

" JT, I see your keeping well!" The Commanders face broke into a grin as he said it.

" The same for you Wil." Coe returned the smile.

" I believe we have some cargo for you....." Hethrow looked down at the unseen PADD in his hand. " Two Ensigns, fresh out of Starfleet. They are standing by for transport." Coe nodded his head after hearing it and pushed his comm badge that lay across his chest.

" CPO Jensen. Lock on and energise when ready." After a few moments, Coe heard the reply.

" We have them aboard Sir." Coe looked back at the screen after hearing the news.

" Well JT, our job is done here. I would have loved to invited you over to dine with us and catch up on old times, the Captains looking forward to seeing you again to, but we'll have to postpone that, were due to patrol the Ruinore sector and we are supposed to be there in a day. A tight schedule."

" So long Wil, take care." Coe spoke to the Commander. Hethrow nodded his head in Salute.

" Heathrow out."

The image of the viewscreen was once again replaced by the view of the Melbourne. The ship turned about and with one final " Flash of it's tail lights" disappeared into the depths of Space. Coe stood still for a moment, not moving his eyes, before turning around, retaking his seat and enjoying the piece and quiet to ponder over the thoughts.

***Bridge***

T'Nevin watched as the Mexican standoff took place. He knew Commander Sela personally and knew she would take the least harsh course of action. The tension at that moment on the bridge was not felt by him.

After their short agreement, the Hydden's explosion rocked the ship a bit. T'Nevin looked down at the shield integrity. Still 100%.

After he felt things had calmed down, he looked at his watch. Dinner time. Although he was perfectly capable of surviving on one meal a day, he acknowledged Mai's request for dinner. He logged off shortly thereafter, Ensign Kevin Allen reporting for the next shift. As he left the bridge, he could hear the captain give the order to zip to the Trill homeworld.

***Turbolift en route to personal quarters***

T'Nevin whipped out his trusty PADD and made the following note:

Mai,

Meet me in a specialty observation suite in Ten-Forward. Seven.

T'Nevin

He stepped off the turbolift and walked towards his room. A figure dashed around the corner and bumped into him. He drops his PADD which was on it's way to his pocket.

"Excuse me," T'Nevin says, turning towards the figure that was already bending to pick up the PADD. Susan Darma.

"We really have to stop running into each other like this," she grins.

"Or is it that you have to stop running into me?" T'Nevin blankly stares back at her.

"Well, if you will excuse me, I am in a hurry."

"By all means," T'Nevin replies, turning towards his door as Ensign Darma races down the corridor.

T'Nevin walks into his quarters and strips to his skivvies and pulls out his "attakamono." A special blanket that he made when he was younger. It molds to the shape of one's body, and emits a soothing pulsating heat. He goes to his "upright rack" next to the bed and snaps his feet in place. He then slowly eases his body in the proper upside-down position necessary for his medetation. He plans on two hours of medetation, and then will meet Mai for dinner.

"Departing for the Planet"

T'Lein looked around his quarters to for a second determination to be sure he had packed everything he needed before departing from the Galaxy to the Trill Homeworld. He exited his quarters and punched in his personal access code on the door control panel. He decided that the first thing he would do when he arrived on the planet would be to look around for the best archeological sites the planet had to offer... He felt a little anxious to beam down.

He entered the transporter room and told the ensign to beam him down to the Trill Archeological Research Facility on in the northern region. The ensign did as ordered and a few seconds later, T'Lein was inside the facility and standing in front of a display of Trill artifacts discovered a few decades ago. He proceded to the main office to ask for information on sites of interest.

On his way to the main office, T'Lein made a note to contact his mother when he arrived back on the Galaxy...he knew that she would want to hear of his trip to the Trill Homeworld.

"Duty Calls"

T'Lein thought of his new position and the responsibilities that came with it...he felt that he would have no trouble adjusting to the new situation. He still felt a little astonished at the fact that he was promoted on such a short time period. He had complete faith in Captain Price and his decisions, as well as the command structure of the USS Galaxy. The new Lt.jg looked forward to returning to duty once his shore leave was over.

"A long day"

Joerg spent much time of his first shift as Chief of Security reading files and reports. He didn't thought that it would be that much work, but he tried as hard as he could to do his best.

After some time he came to the conclusion, that it would be a good idea to let some of his security officers practice simple hand-to-hand combat. It was his opinion, that the security officers not only need to know how to overcome an enemy simply with technology, such as the phasers, but also how to defend themselves on their own. He thought about his holodeck programs and found, that with some minor corrections these programs would be a perfect practice area for his officers.

He just was about to begin the modifications on the programs, when he saw that a new mail has arrived from a Lieutenant Samanka. Curious about it he started to read it. The sender was one of the ship's counselors and the reason he wrote to him was that Samanka wanted to talk to him about his new assignment and the recent events on the Hydden. He suggested to start with a counseling session at 1700 hours on the same day.

Joerg sat back in his chair and stared at the wall. He knew that some day he would go over the whole story of his childhood again and now he knew that day was close. In his mind the terrible events from the past came up again. The images of his parent's tavern, his parents, the stranger, and finally the Starfleet officer, who saved his mother. They all tortured his mind again.

He shook his head and tried to concentrate on his computer display again. "A counseling session, why not?" he thought and sent an acknowledgment to Lieutenant Samanka. "In the meantime I'll better start doing the modifications to the programs." he continued his thoughts. "There should be enough time before the meeting with the counselor."

He accessed his personal holodeck program's database and started to make modifications. He decided that also the training with other weapons than the phaser should improve the security officers fighting abilities. His thoughts again were somewhere in his holodeck creations again, when suddenly his communicator chirped.

"Sterner here." he answered the call.

[Ensign Aaron, Sir. I couldn't attend this morning's meeting, but I heard we soon will arrive at Trill.]

"That is correct." Joerg told him.

[Sir, I want to visit some of the archeological sites on Trill. Is it ok with you that I take a shore leave?]

Quickly checking the list of security officers, who already asked for shore leave, he answered him.

"Of course it is possible. Enjoy your stay and I hope you'll find some interesting artifacts there."

[Thank you, Sir. Oh, I almost forgot. I want to congratulate you on your promotion.]

"Thanks, that's very kind of you. Is that all, Ensign?"

[Yes, Sir. Aaron out.]

That makes three of them taking their shore leave on Trill, Joerg thought and accessed the practice programs again.

After some time, he finally was satisfied with his results. He decided to call a meeting next morning on one of the holodecks and introduce the programs to his team. He quickly wrote a small note to all security officers, in which he states that a meeting shall take place at 900 hours on the next day at holodeck 3. He also reserved the holodeck for the specified time, just in case.

After finishing that, he checked the time. It nearly was time to meet with Lieutenant Samanka. He left his office and took the turbolift, which brought him to the deck on which the Lieutenant had his office.

With nothing much happening, the only sound in Main Engineering was the sound of peoples boots on the deckplates, and the throbing sound of the matter/antimatter reaction assembly, informally known as the warp core. Lt JG Kane liked it.

He had decided against shore leave this time. He might pop down for a day or so, but nothing too long. Being a rather insociable type, he prefered to stay in company with something he knew how to do better, the maintanance of Engineering. With so many other people on leave, he didn't feel that he could really leave the ship, though there were ensigns onboard perfectly capable of handling engineering without him. He decided to, instead, take a break in the holodeck.

"Computer." he raised his voice so the computer voice recognition circuits would be activated. His request was acknowledged with a few short beeps. "Which holodecks are currently free."

"All holodecks are currently in use."

Oh, well... Might as well go and have something to drink. He left Engineering and made his way to Ten-Forward.

"Energize"

The two beam down to the planet.

"Lt JG Capizzi, Ensign Smith?, welcome to Earth."

"Thanks" they both replie. "Where is Admiral Vesce?"

"Come with me" the man says. He leads them into a dark alley pulls out a phaser and says "The admiral had some secrets to tell you but now...." Steve says "Hey, wait. There are three starfleet guys behind you." The man looks away and Steve punches him while Paul tries to get the phaser. They suceed. The man is unconcious and Steve searches him. "Well Mr. Lenard Glem, looks like you didn't suceed in stopping us.

They eventually find his hospital. "Miss, which room is Sean Vesce in?"

The nurse replies "Sean Vesce, hmm, he is in room 3364 on floor 16."

"Thank you."

Steve and Paul leave.

(Floor 16)

"Here it is Steve, 3364."

They walk in a nurse is in there. "How is he?" Steve asks. "I'm sorry, he will be dead before the day ends."The nurse answers.

"Sean..."

"Steve.......I.......Here.............Box........belongings ...........Sleep...."He hands Steve a key and falls back and is still alive but sleeping. A nurse comes in. "Miss, can I see his personal belongings?"

"Yes you can they are in the administration room on floor 1."

(Floor 1)

"All that he has is this ring, this old watch, and this box." A man says.

"Can I see the box?" Steve asks.

"Sure here you go."

Steve opens the box with the key. Inside is a small tube with a blueish-green liquid, an amulet, and another key. He puts them all in his pockets. He finds a nurse and asks her to scan the liquid. She pulls out a medical tricorder and scans it. "It is an alge, ...I can't get anything else."

"Thanks" Steve and Paul leave.

Later while examining the amulet they find a keyhole. Steve puts the key in the key hole and the amulet splits open. There is a small genetic sample. He pulls out his tricorder, its a sample of Admiral Vesce and the sample of alge is reacting when he brings it closer to the sample.

He decides to take a lucky guess and combines the two. Admiral Vesce appears as a young man. "Thank you, I have been waiting for this day, You must close amulet and take it to a transport vessel in one day. He starts to evaporate and completely dissapears as if a level 16 phaser has just hit him.

(The Wedding)

"I do"
"I do"
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride. Donny and Jenifer kiss and people clap and congradulate them.

"So Donny, where are you two going?" asks Steve

"Haven't decided yet." he replies.

"Well good luck."

"Thanks"

(The Site of Transport Vessels Officers Beam Down Point)
"You Capizzi?"

"Yea"

"You have the amulet?"

"What do you need it for?"

"It is a piece of our history."

"Here you go"

"Thanks"

"Here, take this, give it to Vesce."

"Sure"

(Admiral Vesce's Room)
"Sean."

"uhhhh.....do you have it?"

"yea"

"good.....hold on to it......aahhh..."

The long dreaded continous beep has begun. "Nurse!"

Nurses rush in and Steve walks out.
