"Full Impulse through Asteroids :-)"
Aboard Shadow Wing...
An alarm activated and Hunter spun around to the sensors. He gulped and spoke,
"ETA to asteroid belt at twenty seconds."
[K'Eytyanna, I advise a course change to take us away.]
K'Eytyanna turned to Hunter and gave him a big grin before speaking,
"Shadow Wing, I want full control over thrusters, impulse and warp drive now. No corrections by you. Override authorization on my retinal print."
She tapped a small button and a retinal scanner popped out, which she activated.
[Authorisation accepted, unwillingly though.]
"Shadow Wing, put sensors on maximum passive gain, shields to full and activate the cloaking device. If you detect anything out of the ordinary, let me know."
[Acknowledged. Am I correct in my assumption that you are about to commit a suicidal act to test your piloting skills?]
K'Eytyanna laughed and replied,
"Who's hasn't got a sense of humor now?"
Turning back to the flight panel, she gave a loud yell,
"Hoorah!!!!" Tapping some buttons, she gunned the impulse drive to max and headed the ship straight into the asteroid belt, while Hunter yelped in surprise, grabbing tightly onto his seat.
********************************
Bridge of one of the Bajoran vessels....
[Captain, the RR Shadow Wing has just gone to full-burn on its impulse drive and headed straight into the asteroid field. It is currently performing a staggering display of piloting manevours.]
"What??? Whoever is piloting must be either a suicidal maniac or a damn genius of a pilot, most likely both."
********************************
Back aboard Shadow Wing...
Hunter yelped and closed his eyes, trying to ignore what he knew was crazy.
He called out,
"If we ever get out of this alive, remind me never to fly with you again. Maybe your Klingon constitution helps you withstand this, but I'm only human."

**** Bridge of Regents ship ****
On the view screen there was a flash of bright light. The ships bridge shock, removing most of the crew off there chairs and onto the floor. The regent held on and started shouting orders.
["Helm move us away any direction. Damage teams Report!!!"]
Over the communications terminal the engineers voice came through.
["Regent we are getting a warp core overload. 5 min to warp breach, I cant stop it!!! I sug ::static::"]
I looked right into the regents eys.
["Helm Impulse power NOW!!!"]
The Helm Officer turned around and looked at the regent.
["Sorry M'Lord Impulse and Warp are both off Line. M'Lord if it was any other ship we would be dead."]
I lost my Temper right there.
"You Stupid Old Targ. You've gotten Us all killed. And for what?"
I stormed of the bridge running to shuttle bay. In the passagways there we bodies of dead and nearly dead crew members, Many with serious burns to the bodies.
**** Back on the Bridge ****
["Communications Send a ship wide message that they are to get to the escape pods. All Hands Abandon Ship. Also Kornan, I want you to protect me."]
["Aye Sir"]
The Regent got up from his chair putting his dagger away. He turned to a computer screen and ordered the computer to find the Intendent.
["The Intendent is in Shuttlebay 1"]
**** Shuttlebay 1 ****
"Come on you stupid piece of junk!!!"
As I tried to bring Main Power on. Over the Communications network I heard the communications officer order the Abandon Ship signal. I tried playing with the buttons for a couple of min when the regent entered the shuttle I was on.
["My darling I never knew you had a violent streak. ::smileing:: You even drew blood. If you were anyone else I would have you killed on the spot."]
From behind the regent the 7'4 Giant entered the shuttle and powered it up. Bringing the new weapons systems On-line. He also set the scaners to scan for the mines. The regent then pushed me onto the Ops position on the Attack Shuttle, and sat down at the pilot's position. The regent guided the shuttle out of the bay, Turning to look at the escape podds being released. The regent suddenly shouted.
["It's A good Day to Die. But we have luck on our side Our ship is small and fast the I.S.S. Akira Is a big ship. We will destroy her!!"]
The little ship, screamed through the Asteroid Field. Firing on the I.S.S. Akira. Once again the weapons cut straight through the shielding.
"M'Lord. I appologise about hitting you. I was more than annoyed. It will never happen again."
["Forgiven"]

Robert stood at the Ops station, looking at the viewer, trying to hide his suprise. The General dealing with ennimies of the Starfleet? Something was wrong, but St. John found that he didn't care. Too much had happened, too much has been done. He glanced down at his panel, a super nova was coming. Maybe its better to finish it now. A least I can die with some form of honor.
His hand slowly slid to his belt and he removed a small comlink, he inserted the ear piece and whispered, "Lyssa?"
"Yes Daddy?" her small voice returned. St. John looked at the board and sighed, she deserved better, something more.
"I want you to get in your closet and wrap yourself in a blanket, things are going to get bumpy."
"Will we be okay?"
Robert breathe caught in his throat, he wanted to lie and say everything was okay, we'll be fine; he couldn't. "I don't know honey, I just don't know. Just do what I say., okay?"
"Yes daddy," there was a pause, "I love you."
Robert felt something strange, a sense of himself, but not. It passed. "I love you too. Keep the line open, 'Kay?"
"Yes."
St. John slipped the still active transmiter into his belt and looked at the viewer again. Whatever happens, he was ready. That feeling that had passed him earlier was still with him, slightly. It was.... It was what he felt when he could forget everything but Alyssa and himself, no problems, no security measures, just a peaceful existence. "Maybe that is what heaven is?" he mumbled.

"The Beginning"
Ryak got up from his bed and started getting ready for his shift. The time was 11pm and Ryak did not want to be late. The ship had been in complete chaos for quite a while now. Ryak had been spending most of his time on repairs. There was not much things he could work on without some of the equipment. Ryak's experiments had to be completed and without the equipment it would not be completed. Ryak had not had much contact with any of the other crew yet. He spent most of his time alone. This did not bother him due to his distrust of humans. Ryak had not seen the councilleur since he came abord theGalaxy. This was not good. Ryak had been having troubles controlling his anger. He had a boxing bag placed in his quarters to help him relieve his stress. This is working except it has risen his visits to the sick-bay for bone fractures.
Ryak felt the anger grow inside of him as he tried to bring his experiment on line. "File Not Found....Error.....Unknown Directory" was all the computer would tell him. Ryak felt the urge to bust up the consil but took a deep breath and went back to repairing the system. "I didn't join this to be an engineer!" Ryak yelled out loud as he punched the floor. "AHHHHHH! I do not get this at all..."
"Computer Online File Ensign Sullax 2 Online." The computer squawked.
"It is about time," Ryak responded, "Computer run a diagnostic on the file. Is it intact?"
"Running diagnostic.............File 100% intact."
"Computer run file."
Onto the screen came the image of space time. Ryak had been working on his theory that anybody could bend any bit of time or space and be anywhere they wanted to be. He had already figured out that in time it would be posible to be from one place to another in a fraction of a second no matter where the other place was. Now to get this to actually work was the hard part. Now as for manipulating time his calculations where not working out as nicely.
"Computer down load file onto this pad."
"Connect pad to interface."
"Pad connected, begin transfer."
"Transfer comp....."
The terminal shut down. Ryak keyed his pad and found that he had completely transferred his data. Ryak got down on his knees and began working on the terminal again.
Two hours passed and Ryak was at the point of exploding. He was so angry he was unable to speak any language but Romulan. What was making it worse was the inability to think straight. He didn't understand what he was doing wrong. Every time he tried to activate the terminal he would get sparks from the relays and that was it. Ryak tried one more trick he had learned on Romulus.
"Computer self diagnostic in progress."
Ryak just stood there staring at the screen. Finally it turned to the regular screen lay out. Ryak started to type commands into the terminal. The computer denied all access codes entered. Ryak stopped took another deep breath and tried again. Still no luck. At this point he was at the point of exploding and he punched the terminal.
"Password accepted." The computer informed him as the screen showed a visual of space.
"Computer can we get a reading from Romulan space?" Ryak asked.

Captain's Log: Stardate 49702.7
Having been fortunate enough to have found Q's son and made it through the Argonii Asteroid belt, The ISS Galaxy is presently on course for the heart of the Argonii sun. As we approach nearer to the gravitational pull of the star, our speed keeps increasing even though we are traveling on impulse power alone. Helm reports that we should be reaching the point of no return within the next few minutes. Anxiety is high on the ship, and on the bridge crew in particularly. We can only sit tight and hope that the modifications made to the structural integrity generators under Q's guidance will be sufficient to keep the ship from being crushed under the severe gravitational forces of the Argonii star.
*****
*** Bridge, ISS Akira ***
The mammoth warship finally emerges from the Argonii asteroid belt, making it's way to the inner Argonii system along with the several Imperial starships that followed Lieutenant Commander Lore in pursuit of the ISS Galaxy, and the Q child it carries.
"We've made it sir!" an excited flight officer declares.
"Naturally." Lore says in a cool, even, and somewhat smug tone. "Now, locate the General's ship and let's get down to business."
Tapping a few controls, the helmsman replies, "I've found her 'Commander... but she appears to be flying directly towards the Argonii Star."
Lore looks curiously at the officer, "Are you sure they are not heading to a planetoid in close orbit to the star?"
"Negative sir. They are caught in the Gravitational pull and are accelerating. They are on a collision course 'Commander."
"Humm,..." Lore said tapping a finger to his chin, "At their present distance and rate of acceleration, there is no way the Akira can hope to intercept them before they reach their destination."
"You mean before they fly into the sun sir?" the pilot asked.
"I do not believe so. I believe they have found a way to leave this universe and return their passenger to another reality. You see, in theory, a starship traveling towards a G class star will continue to...."
Lore's explanation of what the Galaxy was attempting was interrupted when the entire ISS Akira lurched forward under a surprise attack.
"Enemy attack shuttle bearing 194 mark 3!" screamed the tactical officer.
"Target main weapons and open fire." Lore ordered.
The tiny Bajoran Empire craft flew evasively as the Akira took heavy damage across her bow. Explosive decompressions erupted from the clean trench left behind from the new fangled Bajoran weaponry that didn't appear to be slowed down by shields.
The shuttle banked and turned, avoiding the Akira's phaser shots. Just as the small Empire shuttle was gaining altitude to turn for another pass at the Akira, a single photon torpedo struck her underbelly, exploding on impact. The small craft, only partially protected by her shields, toppled backwards in an uncontrolled spin. Her warp nacelles separating from the main hull, a burning trail of plasma violently following in her wake. Finally, the toppling shuttle flipped head over tail, completely out of control until it finally impacted into a large Asteroid and exploded. The lingering plasma fires burnt brilliantly for several moment before fading to darkness. The shuttle and all on board were instantly killed.

*** Reagent's ship ***
Reagent Worf had blood lust in his eyes as he hurried through the bowels of his dying super-cruiser. Most likely he would be put to death for his carelessness in following the crafty General Lee into the Argonii Asteroid belt, and allowing the Empire's flag super-cruiser to be destroyed by a series of anti-matter mines. But before that happened, Worf would see to it that Intendant Kahn paid for striking him,... with her life.
The ship rocked to one side. Worf struggled to maintain his balance while still moving quickly through the corridors of the ship. His d'k tahg held out in front of him. His teeth bared and his look, mean and determined to have Kahn's life.
He reached shuttle bay #1 and cursed when he realized he was too late. The shuttle had already departed. Kahn and her cohorts had escaped. Pounding his fist on the portal door Worf growled and screamed out in frustration. Finally realizing his revenge would not be had today, the warrior made his way to a near by escape pod and abandoned the ship to safety, just moments before her warp core exploded destroying the entire vessel.
Worf watched through the tiny view portal as the escape pod sped away from the Argonii system. His anger was still raging through his veins, but he struggled to calm down and force himself to think of how he was going to explain all of this to the Empire.

*** Bridge, ISS Akira ***
"'Commander, this seems quite odd."
"What is it?" Lore asked from the tactical station where he stood with the attending officer.
"While scanning for the Galaxy, I have detected some strange readings coming from the Argonii star. If this is correct, I believe it is on the verge of going supernova." A science officer explained.
"That would explain a lot..." Lore commented.
"A lot sir?..." the scientist beckoned.
"It explains why the Alignment ships we have on our sensors are not paying our Imperial ships any attention. It appears they are busy trying to evacuate equipment and personnel from a lunar settlement around the fourth planet...." Lore explained before taking a long pause to think.
The Bajoran Empire forces had all but obliterated Starbase 357. This new weapon technology had given them a strategic edge. Lieutenant Commander Lore had narrowly escaped it first hand on the Akira. He was in no great hurry to head back there and face the remaining 200 plus ships in the Bajoran fleet. The ISS Galaxy, under the command of that crafty bastard, General Lee Price, had managed to get so far ahead of the Akira that Lore knew there was no way they could ever catch them. So his wish of recapturing Q and learning the secrets of the continuum's powers was also slipping away. Quickly, the android's positronic brain formulated a plan.
"Ensign Stanton, I want you to send out a hail to the Alignment. Get someone that has the authority to negotiate on the view screen at once." Lore ordered in his even tone.
"Aye sir." A few moments later a white headed Orion with a stubby beard appeared on the view screen.
["This is Harken of the OPC Shadowfire. What the hell do you want?"] the Orion bellowed from the stress of scrambling to evacuate over twenty thousand Alignment soldiers and colonists from their 'hidden' lunar base in the Argonii Asteroid belt.
"I am Lieutenant Commander Lore of the Imperial Starship Akira. I wish to offer our assistance in your evacuation efforts. We have scanned the Argonii star and are aware of it's pending destruction." Lore said diplomatically.
Harkin scratched his head. He was a veteran Commander and knew when someone was offering assistance for humanitarian reasons, and when the only reason for the offer was because of some hidden agenda. This Imperial 'Commander's offer felt more like the later. However, he was pressed for time, and the number of Alignment ships remaining in this area of space under OPC control did not have enough capacity to safely evacuate all of the Alignment personnel on time.
He scratched the bridge of his nose with a finger. ["That is a kind offer 'Commander. Forgive me if I ask what it is you are asking in return for this... aide?"]
Lore made a slightly mechanical crook of his neck before answering. The servo mechanisms in his neck and face gave a slight twitch as he spoke, "Only to allow us to escort your ships to the neighboring Alignment controlled system Commander. And after that, safe passage through OPC controlled space for our return."
Harken leaned back and stood more heavily on his heals while folding his arms. ["That is quite a distance away from Imperial controlled space Lad. Are you sure your Government will allow it?"]
Lore smiled weakly, "But of course. That is why they dispatched these ships Commander. We are here to aid in the evacuation of this system."
Harken knew that was a lie, and a poor one coming from an Android. However he needed the ships, and time was running out. ["Very well Mister Lore. On behalf of the OPC, I welcome your offer of help. Have your ships come to these coordinates and lower your shields. The evacuees will commence beam up as soon as they are in position."]
"We will move into position Commander. Lieutenant Commander Lore of the ISS Akira out." Lore closed the channel before ordering the Imperial ships to help evacuate the remaining Orion people that populated the lunar base about the fourth planet.
"But sir.... Admiral Qwon sent out a distress call. We can't just.... Ahk!"
Lore once again picked up the communications officer by the throat, only this time he shook him violently while squeezing his neck and slowly crushing his larynx. "I,... thought,... we,... already,... had,... this,... conversation!..."
Lore dropped the limp body of the Ensign on the ground and quickly swiped his hands together as if getting rid of some dirt that was upon them. "Have someone from the morgue come up here and remove the Ensign's body." Lore said calmly, just as if nothing had happened. "And get another communications officer up here." Lore paused to look around the bridge when he went to sit down in the Captain's chair before adding "NOW!"

*** Bridge, ISS Galaxy ***
"Gravitational pull is increasing Captain. We are presently at .97 percent of light speed." Lieutenant Bancroft read off her console.
Back behind the General, Lieutenant Burns called out, "Structural forces are increasing exponentially. Integrity fields are still holding strong."
"But of course." The young Q said calmly while suppressing a yawn. "Primitive, but effective. When the gravitation pull from the star brings us the light speed Price, you must activate an inverse warp shell and hang on."
Lee glanced at Q and gave a quick nod. "Do as he says Lieutenant. Prepare to activate an inverse warp shell when we reach light speed."
Tebrianne checked her console and prepared to initiate the warp shell. ".98 percent of light speed.... Readying warp shell.... .99 percent..... Activating inverse warp shell.... Now!"
Lieutenant Bancroft initiated an inverse warp shell about the Galaxy, which was already moving at warp factor 1 thanks to the enormous gravitational pull caused by the Argonii star.
The inverse warp shell enveloped the ship and helped to accelerate the Galaxy right through the Argonii star and into another dimension. The crew watched with awe at the moment Lieutenant Bancroft activated the warp shell, the ship streaked forward and everything simply saturated to a pure white light that overpowered everyone's senses.

Captain Price blinked a few times, trying to regain his vision. Slowly, his pupils dilated, and he could see that he was once again standing in a perfectly flat field of whiteness. Glancing at himself, he was still wearing the Klingon merchant's outfit he had dawned to help sneak back on board the ISS Galaxy with Q and his ship mates. Taking a step backwards, circling and looking around, Lee called out.
"Q?! Where are you Q? Show yourself. Q?!... Q?!"
Finally, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Swinging around, Lee saw Q standing there, wearing a Starfleet Captain's uniform made entirely of white.
"Where you looking for me Mon Capitain?"
"Yes I was." Lee replied while calming down from the unsettling scare of having someone pop in behind him like Q had just done.
"Well you've found me!" Q said rolling his hands outwardly while bowing like some sort of servant.
Lee couldn't help but give a slight grin at Q's mannerism. He seemed to be in an excellent mood. "I trust that you have spoken to your son 'mate?"
"Why yes Price. I must compliment you on a job well done! Q speaks very highly of you Price. And for a Q to even acknowledge the existence of a being like yourself is something to be proud of." Q stepped forward and slid an arm around the Captain as they began to walk. In a quieter tone, he asked , "I don't suppose I could interest you in looking after Q on a full time basis?"
Lee shook his head in a strong negative direction, "Sorry 'mate. That wasn't part of the bargain. You said I was to locate and return your son before three days past, and I did. Now it's time to keep up your end of the deal."
"Really. Pity. You'd of made a wonderful nanny Price." Q snapped his fingers and Captain Price's clothing changed to a pristine Federation Starfleet Uniform. The correct uniform for his own universe.
"Thank you Q. That's much better 'mate. Now if you'll just return my ship and crew, I can be on my way."
"Not so fast Price. Before I send you on your way to explore strange, uninteresting anomalies, and stick your nose into other peoples business, I want to know how you convinced Q to return home?"
Lee stopped walking and looked at Q. "I'm not sure 'mate. I think basically it came down to reminding him of an important fact."
Q stared at the Captain for a long moment. When Lee wasn't forth coming with an answer, Q wheeled his hands around in a circle towards himself, "Well?.... Common, say it....."
Lee smiled. "I reminded Q that the reason you tell him to do things or not to do things is because you love him."
Q's eyes grew wide in surprise. "THAT'S IT?!" he bellowed, "All you had to do was tell Q that I love him and he came back?"
Lee nodded. "That's right 'mate. The question is, when was the last time *you* told 'im that?"
"Why, I...." Q held his chin and began to think for a moment. "I mean I showed him how to... and then we went to... er..., I... hummm."
Lee leaned forward and said softly into Q's ear, "Give it a try 'mate. Works wonders." The Captain then slapped Q on the back, causing him to stumble forward a bit from the unexpected blow.
Q watched the General take a few steps before stopping and turning back to face him again.
"One thing is bothering me though Q. What happened to my counter part from that 'Mirror' universe."
Q stopped puzzling over the simplicity of Captain Price's solution to his son's rebelliousness. A boyish smile again rested on his face. There was little Q enjoyed more than explaining how clever he'd been with his sorcery. "He took your place Captain."
Lee's eyes widened in horror. "WHAT?!"
Q smiled widely and began to laugh, "Relax Captain. He was only in your place for a moment before the Galaxy was destroyed."
Captain Price began to calm down a bit, but was getting anxious to get back to his own ship. To his own home. "And what will happen when you put things back as they should be 'mate? When I'm back on my own ship, in my own universe, and with my own crew,... where will that leave the ISS Galaxy and her lot 'mate?"
Q smiled a wistful, sinister grin, "Exactly where they were before Mon Capitain."
"Will they remember what has happened?" Lee asked, then added, "Will I remember?"
"Ah now Price, you are beginning to ask too many questions. If I were to give you all of the answers, that would eliminate all of the fun!"
Lee pulled on the bottom of his uniform's duty jacked and straightened his stance. "I'm ready 'mate. It's time to live up to your end of the agreement and give me back my ship, my crew, my universe."
Q looked at the General for a long moment before speaking. "I do indeed owe you my gratitude Price. You returned my son to me and for that I can never thank you enough."
"Send me back 'mate and we will call it even." Lee said impatiently.
"Fair enough 'General Lee'. I like you Price. I have a feeling that we will be crossing paths again, somewhere,... out there..."
In a blink of an eye the Captain's surroundings changed to that of the Bridge of the USS Galaxy. Lee gripped the handles of his command chair, and glanced around the bridge, noting that the Imperial crests where gone from the door entrances and control monitors. The uniforms of the crew members were all Starfleet regulation. While glancing around the Bridge, he began to notice the looks on his 'mates faces as well.
"Captain?..." Lieutenant Bancroft called out from the Helm, "Sir... what just happened? The shockwave from the Argonii star was about to impact with us and now we are... Sir! We are in visual range of Starbase 357?"
Captain Price stood up from his chair and just gawked at the beautiful Starbase. The last time he'd seen it in the 'Mirror' universe, the Bajoran Empire had all but destroyed it. Now it shone like an island in the middle of a vast ocean. With hundreds of Federation Starships docked and in orbit about it, waiting urgently on the medical supplies the Galaxy was delivering after the retaking of Deep Space Nine from the Cardassian-Dominion Alliance.
"Damage report Lieutenant Blair." Captain Price called out.
"Sir, Aft torpedo tubes are still off line. Minor damage from our skirmish with the Cardassian forces...." Troy paused and his tone dropped off, "I don't get it Sir. What happened to the damage caused by the Jem'Hadar ships that hijacked us? My damage control display is showing that the systems that were damaged in the attack is now fully operational."
Lee nodded at the Lieutenant. "Double check to be sure. Bancroft, what is the present time 'mate?"
The helmsman checked her monitor and with a surprised look on her face, pivoted around in her chair to face Captain Price. "Captain, the chronometer is showing that it is three days earlier than when we were caught in the Argonii system. I don't understand it sir..."
Captain Price let out a sigh. "I am afraid it will take some explaining before everyone is clear on what exactly happened Lieutenant. Set course to dock with Starbase 357. Lieutenant Blair, warn Starfleet that there are possibly a number of Jem'Hadar ships hiding in the Argonii asteroid belt, and that the star will be going supernova in approximately 72 hours."
"And how do you want me to tell them we know this Captain?" Troy asked, still confused.
"Just tell them,... we know 'mate." Lee said sitting back in the command chair, "Just tell them we know."

Chanor had been spending the last few minutes rounding up stray security officers from around the ship, to defend against a possible infiltration by Imperial, or even Empire forces. The ship was seriously understrength when it came to security officers and he couldn't see how they could hope to hold off against hundreds of boarders, nor could he understand why the ship was to try to hold off hundreds of fellow 'gold sashes' if they boarded.
Of course, he was never properly informed on this ship. The rest of the crew thought they could walk all over security officers on this ship. "Keep 'em in the dark", seemed to be their motto. He would have to try to correct this situation by speaking to the captain after this little adventure was over.
*********** Later ************
Chanor was still working in security. He'd managed to position enough security officers around the ship, and hoped for no trouble to occur. So far, it had been all quite, but the ship had started to rock slightly from some unknown force. He'd paged engineering about it, but had only got an infuriating answer that he should mind his own business. He paced around a now empty security office, waiting for something to happen. As an aside, he entered the brig, to check on Ensign Wadell. The sight that greeted him was an odd one.
A security ensign, bearded, and immensly tall, seemed to be waiting around while a female was using a replicator to make herself some clothes. Normally, this scene might be comical, had it not been for the huge number of break outs from the brig in recent days had conditioned Chanor to be on the look out. He immediately drew his phaser and asked,
"Ensign, report? What's going on here?"
"I'm sorry Lieutenant, the prisoner was feeling cold. She asked to be allowed to replicate some more clothes to keep her from catching a chill." the big burley man replied.
"Ensign, I don't believe I know you? Who are you?" Chanor asked, realising that this man was in no way telling the truth.
"Ensign Sunder sir, I was transfered to the Galaxy at the starbase." he replied.
"Well Ensign, I think that you should transfer the prisoner back to the cell, and come with me. I think a report needs to be filed about this incident." Chanor answered, backing up his words with a phaser.
The room began to grow very bright all of a sudden, and being momentarily distracted, the Ensign drew his phaser on Chanor, aimed and said,
"Lieutenant, I believe that it's time you had some rest." as he pressed the trigger on the phaser. Everything seemed to slow down, but the light continued to grow brighter, till Chanor couldn't see anything, not even the phaser beam heading towards him. All he could hear was the last sentence echoing around in his head........
*********** USS Galaxy End of Alpha shift ***********
"Lieutenant, I believe that it's time you had some rest." 'Commander Sunder answered, in protest of Chanors claim that he would happily go on during Beta shift. Lieutenant K'arta had just turned over Alpha shift to 'Commander Sunder, and he was refusing him permission to carry on for another shift.
He nodded his head at the 'Commanders order, much as he disagreed with them, and headed out of security towards his quarters. The Jem'Hadar threat was still around, so he couldn't afford more than a few hours rest as he climbed into bed, still fully dressed, with a phaser by his side.
Lt. Paran
"The probe has entered the asteroid belt" announced Angela, patching in to the navigational sensors from the console in the probe hangar. "This is strange..." she began.
Cat and Matthew broke from their cleaning up activities to look at the engineer. Matthew asked, "What is strange, Ang'?" He approached the console to peer over her shoulder. The readings were not immediately informative to the Interrogation Officer, who hadn't had a reason to look at Navigational readouts in over a year. His first thought was that perhaps Hoglips had somehow returned to the ship. Perhaps they had shoved an emergency holographic fugitive into the probe shell.
She turned from the panel, though her eyes still watched it in fascination, and replied, "The Galaxy seems to be headed directly into the Argonii star. In a few moments we will be firmly in its gravitational grip!" She was excited, and worried. Her normally iron hold on her pheromones, already weakened by the 'Colonel's tampering, was slipping. Musky scents and bitter tasting molecules flooded the immediate area surrounding her. Matthew was so affected by her signals he became incapable of grasping the true danger they could be in.
Doctor Khatroweena came up behind Lieutenant Albrecht and placed her hands on his shoulders. She inhaled the Deltan's scents deeply, turned her lips toward the human man's ear and said to Angela, "What happens after that, girl?" Certainly the doctor should have remembered from her physics or astrogation courses at the Academy that there was a point of no return near massive stellar bodies. Unfortunately, the increasing chemical distraction from the engineer kept her from even listening for a response to her question. The only thing that Matthew cared to hear was the low purring coming from the doctor, as he felt lips softly caress his neck.
While her pheromonal rush played havoc with the libidos and attention spans of the human and the Caitian, the sudden surge of Deltan hormones in her own bloodstream freed Angela Dana completely of the control the Tellarite had imposed upon her. Finally her own person again, the Deltan smashed her fist against her console in anger and frustration.
She realized at once that she had lost control of herself. She closed her eyes, relaxed her fists, and sat up straight in her seat. Blocking out the breathing sounds from behind her, she began to hum atonally. Her humming gradually became a low, consonant-free chant. A moment later she stood and turned toward her companions having restored control of her biological functions to normal.
The doctor was pulling away from the interrogator, normally she would've loved for things to stay as they were, but the engineer's words were finally able to convince her brain that they were all in deep trouble. She whispered, "We better get to our stations. Something's up..." Her eyes didn't leave his lips, and she didn't let go of him.
The human also felt a lessening of the pheromones' effects. "You're right, of course, doctor. Um... something is definitely going on with the star and all..." He tried to push her away, but ended up using the opportunity to caress her waist with his hands, enjoying the feel of her plush, short fur coat.
"AHEM!" interrupted ensign Dana. She was standing perfectly straight, seemingly not disturbed at all by the behavior of her lover and the lithe young doctor. They turned toward the sound, and finally let each other go.
He took a few steps back, and stated, "I have work to do. Got to figure out what this ship is up to, not to mention finding a certain lieutenant jaygee. Good luck ladies," he finished with a smile. A moment later the doors whooshed shut behind him, leaving the ladies staring at each other.
**** A few moments later in Security ****
"Lieutenant junior grade Gary Trabuco is alone in his quarters on deck seven" reported the voice of the ship's computer. Matthew smiled widely.
"Computer, activate level two torment field in Trabuco's quarters, under my authority, code Alpha-Albrecht-One-Seven-Seven." He continued to smile at the image in his mind of the would-be assassin suspended within the painful energy field.
"The torment field is now activated," confirmed the computer. The ACIO wondered how long it would remain active before someone was alerted to its status. With Trabuco out of commission, he turned his attention to other matters.
The acting Chief of Interrogation entered the work area of Lt Sanchez. "Lieutenant, are we still headed for the star? Have there been any orders issued that might explain where we are going?" He knew that Sanchez would know any scuttlebut going around the ship about their destination.
She sat on her desks front edge, a relaxed pose he had never seen her adopt before. Her shoulders sagged, she needed a rest. "Cameron in Ops says we have passed the point of no return. We're going in. Another five minutes maximum before we reach lightspeed and Stephen Hawking personally shows up to kill us all! On the plus side, rumor has it that the captain's new friend who was responsible for the return of our Security facilities has made a few modifications to the ship's structural integrity..."
Looking at her face, he could tell she didn't believe it any more than he did.

***** Aft Torpedo Bay, ISS Galaxy *****
Cat watched as Matthew left the bay. She felt her own lusts for him drain away. Her body was calming down from the onslaught of the Deltan pheromones. Cat looked at Angela, "How much time have we got left?"
Angela replied in an even tone, "A little more than seven minutes."
Cat was at a loss for words, considering the situation, those six words were a real conversation killer. "Hey, I don't suppose that you would want to have some fun before we..." Angela gave Cat a hard look. "Suppose you wouldn't!"
Angela accessed the controls and soon part of the navigation console in the torpedo bay was acting as a repeater, showing the view of the Argonii primary, which was being seen on the bridge. "It is a beautiful sight" whispered Cat.
"And a deadly one, this ain't no science console and I am not a science officer, but if these readings are saying what I think they mean, this star is about to go nova with us and the whole system with it" Angela told Cat.
"Oh" was all that Cat could say.
"We're accelerating towards the star, approaching lightspeed. What can they be thinking of up there?" Angela and Cat watched as the huge exploding ball of gas was growing bigger on the screen. A light flashed on the panel, "They've brought up an inverted..."
***** In one of the Cracks between Dimensions, where Reality *****
An intense bright light washed out the chance of anybody seeing anything. By the time Cat could open her eyes and wipe the tears from the brightness, she soon realised she was on a beach with the heat coming from a shining black dot in the sky. Looking up, see could see Angela looking at her. The look on Angela's faced showed she was just as confused as Cat felt.
"What happened?" Cat asked.
"I have got no idea. Are we dead?" was Angela's reply.
"I don't know, maybe we should ask that gentleman over there?" Cat indicated to a five headed, demon looking creature, covered in spines. He/it was wading through the bright purple water.
As he approached, he took off his hats and spoke in five melodious voices, "Top of the morning to both of you lovely ladies. Don't stay out too long and use plenty of sunscreen lotion, don't want you to get burnt by the Cheronkov radiation."
Angela looked at Cat with an incredulous look on her face. "This is definitely not real, this must be some dream. It's not my Reality."
The demon gentleman turned and looked at Angela with a look of disapproval on his face. "Such language from such a pretty girl. You should not use such language." He turned and continued with his walk. Both Cat and Angela heard him mutter something about the younger generation having no respect.
Angela looked in surprise, "What did I say?"
"The oldies like Mr Maxwell, just don't understand modern anarchy. He's been retired for a long time. 'Not needed' they said. 'Don't need demons to do the work any more' they said. 'Newton's Second Law of Thermodynamics does it now and cheaper as well' they said." Both Cat and Angela looked to see a small spider monkey holding a PADD.
Behind him was, Cat made a conservative estimate of, about an infinity of his friends. They all seemed to be making a low chittering and waiting. "You were a naughty girl, you used the word..." The monkey looked around to make sure no one else was listening or watching and then crooked a finger to beckon the two ISC officers closer. When they approached he said "REALITY."
Suddenly his eyes went wide and his hand covered his mouth, his other pair covered his ears and a third pair covered his ears. Cat very quickly got a headache as she realised he was using only one pair of hands to do all of this at once.
After a few seconds, he relaxed and gave his PADD to Cat. As she read, she realised it was the play, HAMLET. She looked at the spider monkey, "Me and me mates have spent quite sometime on it, I was wondering if you would give us your opinion on it."
Angela stood up and looked around. "Hey Cat, Do you recognise where we are?"
Cat looked up from the PADD and around at the shoreline. It's San Francisco! Do you notice something strange?"
"What how the bay is full of humans swimming and jumping and the dolphins seem to live in the city?"
"Yeah, that might be it. I'm going exploring, coming?" asked a curious Cat.
Cat watched as another standing Cat dropped the PADD and walked in towards the city of San Francisco. As she watched her own form retreating with the Angela, the monkey clicked his fingers in front of her eyes.
"What do you think of the play?"
Cat looked distractedly down at the PADD. "Umm, very good. Err, I like it!"
The monkey looked up at her, "You're not from around here are you? Cats are always doing two things at once, depends on who is looking at them. Something to do with some guy called Schrödinger and a some experiment."
Cat looked at her uniform, it looked strange for a couple seconds, what had happened to her see-thru outfit. She shook her head, why would she wear something as outrageous as that?
"Look if you don't mind, I'm not feeling too well. I've had a bad few days and I not quite sure I know where I am. I'm going to try to get some rest. I'll discuss your play later. OK?"
The monkey smiled, "Fine, I understand. Well, I'll talk to you later." Cat watched him and his friends all move off back to the city and she laid back. See looked at the black points of light against the rainbow hued sky and dropped off to sleep.
***** Cat's Quarters, USS Galaxy *****
Cat awoke to see the stars streak past her window. 'I am really going to have to stay off those Gargle Blasters - two is far two many' she joked to herself. 'That was the weirdest dream yet.'
As Cat was about to get out of bed, she realised she should have been in Sickbay. 'The injured, My God, the shockwave.' Then it finally came to her attention that all the sounds she felt and heard were of the Galaxy cruising unhindered. Cat looked at her chronometer: "Its three days ago that's impossible."
"Did it actually happen? Was the Galaxy so close to destruction?" she said to herself. "Girl you're going crazy" was the Doctor's final diagnosis.

The blinding light of the star grew brighter and brighter, like a sparkling dimond. Leslie had to shield her eyes, the viewscreen wasn't taking out the harmful light. Curse the Empire! she thought.
Readusting herself in her seat, she watched as the Galaxy came closer and closer, then closer still. "Captain are you a madman!" she shouted. Then the light turned to bright, and she couldn't hear a thing. Countdown to Destruction, she thought. Her tone was bitter when she talked again. But as she started to form the words, thier was a blinding light. Then everything was white.
****USS Galaxy****
Leslie awoke in her quarters, drenched in sweat. What a horrible place to live in she thought. What a terrible dream. She stood up, stretching, then it all came back to her. The shockwave, she had been in main engineering, what was going on.
She looked out at the stars, floating by, as the Galaxy made its way though warp. This was unreal. She jogged to her bathroom, and ran some cold water over her face. It didn't help, she didn't wake up. She was sleeping right?
"Computer time?" she asked.
"1200 hours."
"Stardate?"
"49712.4." the compute replied.
"Three days ago," Leslie thought outloud.
"Please restate the question," said the computer.
"Nothing computer, turn off."
Three days. That just wasn't possible, or was it? She looked out the window. She would have to talk to someone about this, she hoped she wasn't the only one.

**** ISS Galaxy ****
Jack stode along the hallway, deep in thought. Things had gotten way out of hand, the General was from another universe, Casey and Sterner had dissapeared, although, Jack had heard a report that Sterner was on the station. Then there was this thing that had apparently taken Jack's form while he was being kept on that planet. It was all too much for Jack, he needed to contact Command, but the interferance from the asteroid belt would hinder all communications with them.
He was surprised that in the two years that he had served on the Galaxy, no one had figured out that Jack didn't belong to any department on the ship. At least no one had come forward about it. Jack had had a promissing career in his unit, he had just been promoted to Major, and was about to be given command of a whole division of soldiers. Then Command had come along and taken it all away. There had been a rash of deaths of Commanding Officers in Starfleet and they were concerned that they might end up with a lack of experienced captains to lead their ships, and so they had dragged Jack into it. His first assignment was to look out for Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the Enterprise, but when the same position on the ISS Galaxy arose, Jack requested a transfer.
Jack knew that there was only one person currently on the ship that he could talk to, and although this man wanted him caught, it was a risk that Jack had to take. Thomas was the most likely candidate to be given the position of First Officer, and thus if something happened to the General, the real one, and not the imposter from this other Galaxy, then Thomas would most likely become Captain, and so Jack would be looking out for Thomas.
"Computer, locate Capt... Commander Thomas."
"Commander Thomas is in Engineering" The computer replied in it's dull mechanical sounding voice.
Jack walked to the nearest turbolift, watching all the while for Security Officers. As he neared the 'lift he felt the ship shudder slightly, but he passed it up as something that the Engineers were doing. "Engineering" Jack stated to the computer as he entered the lift. It started off, and Jack patted the Romulan knife that rested in his belt to make sure it was there. The lift was slowing, but before it could stop, a blinding white light iluminated everything.
**** USS Galaxy ****
"From this galaxy did we come..." Jack started, pausing when he heard his stomach growl at the lack of food. "And unto the universe shall we return."
Jack stood there as wave and hurtling debris neared the Galaxy. He could swear that one of the large asteroids at the front of the wave was going to shoot through the failing containment field and smash into him, but before it reached the Galaxy the wave and all the hurtling debris vanished. Actually Jack only caught a glimpse of clear space before the Galaxy's shuttlebay doors mysteriously appearing where they been blown off from just a short while ago.
"I could swear that we were done for." Ensign Grey, a fellow Security officer said.
Many of the other officers that were standing around in the Shuttlebay were praying, others were jumping around for joy, and a few could be seen to be weeping with joy. Jack's hand strayed down to his belt and the Romulan knife that was tucked into it. As his hand touched it, he got a major feeling of deja vu, but he passed it off as part of the wierd day he was having. After all he had been given the knife by a friend from Engineering, Ensign Barry Duane. Barry had said that he had been given the knife by his great uncle who had bought it from a shop on the Romulan homeworld.
"It's probably time for me to have a Medical checkup." Jack mumbled to himself as he left the Shuttlebay.

The ISS Galaxy flew head-on toward the Argonii star, with a purpose only its captain knew. Shanika watched from the window of her quarters, inwardly seething that 'The General' or whatever-they-called-him would do such a ridiculously insensitive thing. In a few minutes, they would all be dead. Shanika thought about the family and friends she had left behind on ch'Rihan and knew it had been an awful mistake to ever take on this exchange assignment in the IFP.
"They say hindsight is always 20/20..." she said softly to no one in particular. "Whatever hindsight and 20/20 are."
As she watched, she could feel the gravity of the star pulling the Galaxy past the escape point. Now they were locked in to whatever course fate set for them. There was no returning now. The bright light of Argonii washed over Shanika like waves of water, spreading to illuminate the rest of the room with natural radiance. Then the light was everywhere...
***USS Pompeii***
Lt (jg) Shanika opened her eyes and sat up with a start and realized that she was sweating. Her eyes scanned the familiar room, as if taking in everything for the first time. Finally she got out of bed, showered and put on her uniform. Eyes still a little glazed, she walked to the bridge to report for duty.
"I just had the weirdest dream..." she said, taking her seat next to Ensign Lari at the flight console. "You'll never guess what happened..."

"A New Beginning"
"Scan incomplete." The computer said.
"Reason for incomplete scan?"
"The Galaxy is receiving to much interference from the closest star."
"Can I get a visual on this?"
A visual of the impending doom came onto the screen in front of Ryak. Momentarily the ship started shaking as it approached the star. Ryak grabbed his computer pad and headed for his quarters. Once in his quarters he sat down in front of a small shrine he had placed on his floor and began to pray.
One of the purist lights filled the room and put blinded Ryak momentarily. When the light had ended Ryak found himself in his quarters again. Yet it was different. Ryak remembered his dream and could not understand what had been going on? Why was he in bed? Was he not just on the floor? "Computer how long have I been aboard the Galaxy?"
"Ensign Sullax has been on the Galaxy for 21 hours."
How could this be? Ryak was so confused. He looked around his room and remembered that he had taken a pill that was given to him by Star Fleet Medical to help him adjust to space again. Could this have played a cause to his disorientation? Ryak got up from his bed, got dressed and headed out to find the medical bay. Ryak stopped before entering and decided that it is ridiculous for him to be concerned so he instead headed to the Science Lab. Ryak had a few days before he begins his first shift so he is going to go get some work done on his experiment.
Ryak entered the lab and walked over to an empty terminal. "Computer prepare to receive information for personal file Ensign Sullax."
"Interface ready."
Ryak hooked up his computer pad to the terminal and began down-loading.
"Down-load complete. 100% down-loaded...0% error... Please enter passcode for this document."
Ryak entered in his 5 digit ppass code "Computer load simulation, Sullax 6."
Onto the screen came a picture of the USS Galaxy. "Begin simulation." Ryak had not worked on this project for 3 years. He was not clear on where he left off.
"Simulation Beginning." On the screen you could see the USS Galaxy flying at about warp 8 when it begins to generate a large, very localized field. "Structural integrity of the USS Galaxy is about to...." The Galaxy explodes. "Simulation Complete."
Ryak looks over the data recorded in the simulation. "Computer why did the Galaxy explode?"
"The Galaxy was forced through an anomaly at warp 8. The Galaxy was unable to maintain its current state."
"Computer, did the anomoly emit anything?"
"The anomaly was not of any known cause or state."
"Transfer all of the data from this simulation to my pad and then save simulation."
"Simulation and transfer complete."
Ryak got up from the terminal and headed for his quarters.

Back to reality?
"Main engineering to Boudreau. Sir, we are almost at light speed. It's time..."
Mara sighed. "I know, I know... inverse warp shell. I'm on my way."
Mara walked out of her office and into main engineering. She walked over to the main console and read the readings. "These readings are all off. Adjust the anti-matter flow rate."
Less than a minute later, the word came from the bridge to activate the field and in engineering, all was ready. An inverse warp shell was created and Mara...
Mélissa double checked the diagnostic to see if the repairs were proceeding on schedule. It was the end of Beta Shift and there was still some minor damage from the Galaxy's encounter with the Cardassian forces. She felt dizzy and looked up.
"What in the world?" She looked around engineering and everyone looked as confused as she did. "Weren't we just about to..."
Mélissa saw the look on Ensign de la Salle's face and knew that she hadn't imagined it. She checked the chronometer and found that it was three days earlier than the supernova of the Argonii star.
"Can someone tell me what's going on?" Mélissa asked.

Robert grasped the panel tightly as they neared the star. He sighed and spoke soflty, "Goodbye my litt..."
"...le angel." Robert St. John stared confused around the room.
"Sickbay? Yes, I'm injured, the Jem'Hadar." Robert sat stunned for a moment when he realized that there was no pain. He slid of the bed, people all around the room look stunned and frightened. St. John shook his head and steped into the hallway, returning to his quarters.
"Lyssa?" he cried as he stepped in. 'Lyssa? Who was she? Robert shrugged, who knows, a dream perhaps. Robert sighed and sat on the corner of his bed. "Computer, messages?"
"One, Ensign Simon Hawke, U.S.S. Atlantis."
"Play it."
"Rob, happy to hear of your new assignment, just hoping that..."
"Computer stop, this is an old message. Just... dim the lights, I have a headache."
The lights dimmed and Robert lay back, he knew something was missing, something in his life. Maybe he should have eaten something, ah well. There's always tomorrow.

Sanchez sat on the edge of the security console in an uncharacteristically relaxed pose. Although she and Matthew had never been close, their months of working together had given them a sense of familiarity with each other’s personalities. He couldn’t remember ever before seeing the Hispanic officer slouch. Nor had she ever chosen to ‘bend his ear’ about a personal matter. She was gesturing about with her hands while she searched for the words to express her point. "It was, I mean…I don’t know how to describe it!"
She hadn’t found the words she searched for, but he wasn’t listening too closely anyway. He was lost in thought. It seemed everyone he spoke to this morning could think of nothing but the three days they had lost. Word was, more than a few of the crew had failed to go on duty. Matthew himself had not yet confronted his last memory before finding himself three days younger and wholly unharmed. He asked her, "So, do you think it was real, or just some mass hallucination?" That question was the only thought he allowed himself with regard to the three lost days, and he didn’t know how he would answer it.
She took only a moment to respond, "Does it matter? Real or not, we all experienced it! I DIED, Albrecht. And so did you." She looked him in the eyes, leaning forward with her palms planted on the console to her sides. She watched for a reaction from the security officer, but didn’t get the one she expected.
He straightened up, and said, with a sigh, "I have to get back to work, Sanchez." With that, he picked up his PADD, walked from security and headed for his post. Inside he was torn, he didn’t want to think about the lost three days. By throwing himself into his work he hoped to get his mind off the disturbing thoughts Sanchez had inspired in him.
* * * * One hour later * * * *
The hallway was quiet, he hadn’t passed anyone on his way to weapons locker 331. He entered his security code into the panel on the wall, several chirps answered his entry. With a short pneumatic pop, the cabinet opened. The locker was unobtrusive, most crewmembers passed by them regularly without knowing it. He swung the door fully open, to get access to the weapons within.
First he removed an oxygen mask, touching the control panel on its side. The mask registered as fully operational and fully charged. He repeated the check on each mask in the locker. Once done with the oxygen masks, he moved on to the phaser pistols. He withdrew the first pistol from the molded slot it fit into. He knew immediately that none were missing, making the inventory portion of his locker check extremely easy. He visually examined the pistol and then activated the touch panel on its spine. The pistol, too, showed as 100% charged and operational.
The second phaser rifle in the locker didn’t check out. The readout reported that the rifle was fully functional, but the charge was at 97 percent. He checked it again, and ran a diagnostic routine on the circuits and power cell. After checking the remaining rifles, Matthew closed the locker, slipping the rifle’s strap over his left shoulder. Lifting his PADD, he entered his findings into his log. He would have to take the rifle back to security to have it checked. Probably it had a faulty power cell, but the circuitry failed to show any problem. A more disturbing possibility was that it had been removed from the cabinet and fired. A proper forensic examination should determine the problem.
Rather than walk to the next locker with a rifle slung over his back, he opted to drop the rifle off first. As he approached security, his mind began to return to the topic of conversation with Sanchez. He found himself hoping she had left so he didn’t have to speak with her again.
Inside he found, instead of Sanchez, his friend Gary Trabuco. "Hello, Gary. Look at this," he said, holding out the rifle for the ensign to take from him. Gary hefted the phaser rifle, bouncing it in his palms for a moment, as if he could tell by weight the condition of the weapon. Then he checked the readout.
His eyes opened wider, his brows raised, "Did you fire it?" He didn’t look up at Matthew, he knew the answer was no. He thumbed the safety, to be sure it was safe, and looked at the emitter.
The junior grade lieutenant responded, "No, of course not. Besides, how many times would I have to have fired it to drain three percent of a cell?" He scratched his head thoughtfully. "Has there been a problem with the ship’s internal sensors that would allow a rifle to go off without alerting us?" he asked dubiously.
Gary smiled, about to make a joke, "Maybe it was fired at Jem Haddar boarders!" He laughed for a second, before noticing his friend’s straight face.
Matthew frowned at his friend. He didn’t find Gary’s reference to the battle in the Asteroid belt funny at all. "God Damn it, Gary, that isn’t very funny!" He reached for the rifle and took it back. Turning away from his friend he stepped to a locker and keyed in his code. He had to reenter it a second time, having mis-keyed it the first time.
Trabuco stared after the man he had become a friend to. He had seen Matthew’s temper before. He had run into the man’s argumentative moods. But he had never shouted at Gary. "What happened to you, Albrecht? Why are you behaving this way?" he probed. He knew it was the wrong move as the words left his mouth.
Matthew slammed the locker shut on the rifle, securing it until it could be examined. He turned to his friend and said, "Butt out, Gary. Nothing happened. I am fine, and even if I wasn’t, I don’t want to talk about it!" Again he headed for the door, not wanting to deal with the subject he had again been dragged into thinking about. He was also angry with his friend for, albeit unintentionally, reminding him of his (near?) death experience.
Gary didn’t let him leave without getting in one more comment. "Matthew, see a counselor, man. I mean it!" The doors closed behind the lieutenant’, who never looked back.

Annihalation had been so close: Jem H'adar, the hole in the starship's hull, even the possible threat of a supernovaic star. Sunder had been prepared to to throw himself into open space; to face the threatening sun himself in a futile act of desperation. Luckily the star had somehow re-asserted itself, bringing the Galaxy back over the brink of utter destruction.
Now all that was left to do was to restore the Galaxy back to a semblance of order and resume its regular mission. After the hectic chaos, he was looking forward to a bit of " standard fare ", as it were. Still, he wouldn't miss the de-briefing after all this for all the orion dancing girls on the home world.
There was something wrong though: as if he'd forgotten something... something important. Like forgetting to set a wake-up call with the computer. It tugged at the corners of his mind annoyingly, like some persistant itch that he couldn't reach. It wasn't major but it was still ... disconcerting.
He pulled himself together and exited the cargo bay. In his haste, he clumsily walked head on into science officer who happened to be looking the other way. Moving at about the same speed as Sunder, she failed to notice his departure. The two officers collided with each other; the science officer - an attractive ensign, Sunder realized as he eventually looked at his unwilling assailant, literally bounced off the giant and fell to the floor.
Sunder reached down to pick her up.
" Very sorry... I didn't see... ", he began.
" My apologies sir... ", she said simultaneously. The two paused for a short time, while picking themselves up and waiting for the other to begin again. Sunder didn't recognize the ensign.
" Let me start again. I'm sorry - I should have been more careful. " He added a winning smile for good measure.
" Me too, sir. I guess with all the fuss, my attention is wandering a bit. " She replied.
" I'm sorry ensign, but I don't know your name. "
" Heretia Darroch sir. I'm in botanical sciences. I was just checking out some of our cargo. Not a very exciting duty, but one that still needs to be taken care of. "
" Right now, probably an enviable one. That is, speaking as one who'll probably have to help clean this mess up. "
" Yes sir. " She agreed. " If you'll excuse me, I have to go. " With a flashing smile, she made her way down the hall. Sunder watched her go for a few seconds, unaware that he was staring.
For some reason, that nagging doubt had strangely disappeared...

Pat called out, "Structural forces are increasing exponentially. Integrity fields are still holding strong."
"But of course." The young Q said calmly while suppressing a yawn. "Primitive, but effective. When the gravitation pull from the star brings us the light speed Price, you must activate an inverse warp shell and hang on."
The Captain glanced at Q and gave a quick nod towards the helm, "Do as he says Lieutenant. Prepare to activate an inverse warp shell when we reach light speed."
Tebrianne checked her console and prepared to initiate the warp shell. ".98 percent of light speed.... Readying warp shell.... .99 percent..... Activating inverse warp shell.... Now!"
Pat announced, "Everyone grab hold of something...we're in for the ride of our lives!"
Something white enveloped the ship, causing the end or maybe the beginning of his life.

John awoke to find himself slumped over the tactical arch on the Bridge. Slumped next to John was Lt. Blair who was regaining his senses. John tried to remember what had happened but it caused his head to throb with pain. Unable to withstand the pain, John left the Bridge for Sickbay.
The turbolift doors closed and he leaned against the wall for support. He was quite dizzy and was unable to see. Putting his hand up to his forehead, John discovered a large bump. He must have hit his head on the tactical arch but how? and why?
The turbolift doors opened and he could no longer think about what had happened as a wave of pain hit him.
John finally stumbled into Sickbay wearily stating, "Someone help me.. ....help me please." Those were John's last words before collapsing on the floor.

"The Memory Remains"
Her hair wild, Leslie was almost running down the hallway. What had happened? The shockwave, the asteriod belt, where had it all gone? These questions rolled around in her head.
Her head throbed, she remembered now. She had been thrown to the ground in her quarters, just before the shockwave hit, then it was a blank, a giant blur. WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!? Her mind screamed. She whished she knew.
For know it was peaceful on the Galaxy. Repairs were being made, but no damage had ever been inflicted by three Jem Hadar warships. She remembered those to. It was a firece battle, a battle that had left the Galaxy badly damaged. So damaged that it couldn't get away from the shockwave.
She thought she was going insane, she hoped she wasn't the only one like this. Her stomach lurched from the pain of thinking about it, and she fell to the ground...
****Sickbay,Later****
Leslie slowly opened her eyes. Around her it was silent, normal, not the loud cries that had echoed through this room. Sickbay was in a state of confusion, not pain. Leslie tried to push herself up, but found that she couldn't. The doctors had put a restraining field. Damn them!
The memory still reamined, it wouldn't go away. It was a picture that was painted into her mind, and it would never go away, never. No matter how hard she tried, it wouldn't go away.

***Corridors, Somewhere on the Galaxy***
Things were bleary. In vain, Endris tried to focus her bloodshot eyes on the way back to her quarters. Disappointing Doctor Tash was the least of her worries. The Tellarite had ruined plans for a feast! On her world, there was no greater crime.
Only atonement. That thought made her woozy cranium dredge up thoughts about Bajorians. Their strong religious heritage had tempered them through the Cardassian occupation of their planet. And working closely with Doctor Kahn gave her new insights into their culture.
Somehow in her current state, Gakor remembered Nilani had sent out an invitation to the medical staff for a Bajorian dinner. In her stupor, the doctor forgot power conservation measures on the ship. She deviated from her course of rest and soon arrived at Holodeck 4. Endris would program up a surprise that would atone for her earlier mistake. For some reason, this section of the ship remained relatively untouched.
***Holodeck 4***
The doors refused to open. Hicupping from the lingering traces of blood wine, the Tellarite keyed in a Ferengi medical over ride she once "won" in a Dabo game on Memory Beta. Maybe her fingers slipped, but the same measures that gained her admittance also infused the area with sanctions of emergency power.
Triumphantly, the great physician (with a drunk bloated ego to match), entered the placid yellow room. A none-too-sober Tellarite began firing questions at the computer concerning the prophets.
"I'll probably get in trouble for this", she reasoned. Ironically, this was quite logical despite her present condition of smelling like a Kentucky moonshine factory. Thus, Gakor was surprised when the machine started to generate constructs.
[This one is linear], interrupted the ACMO, or a finely tailored facsimile.
In her dazed state, Endris failed to recognize the computer's response. The aliens native to the Bajorian wormhole continued to be imitated in response to her queries.
[It is greatly disturbed], observed Burnsie.
Hissing an angry tone, the holodeck cloned an image of the General. Lights dimmed and flickered as the ship's reserves depleted further. The captain began a speech which made the Tellarite even more perplexed.
[Some of you may already be aware of the explosion of the Argonii star. Presently the shock wave from that star's sudden, unexpected collapse is rushing towards the Galaxy at an accelerated rate. Regrettably, in the Galaxy's present condition, we are unable to escape from this sector of space before the shock wave overtakes the ship. We will most likely be destroyed as the shock wave passes over us, but we will do everything within our power to try to beat the computers projections for our chances of survival.]
A elongated pause occurred, as if the computer was hesitant to herald bad news. Or perhaps the Captain was just trying to word something beyond tragic. This sobered Gakor a bit, as she recalled Scientist on her home world breaking the discovery of Teresi syndrome.
[I would like to take this moment to state for the record that this is the finest crew I have had the pleasure of working with in my Starfleet career. The individual men and women that compose the crew members of the Galaxy are the finest in all of the Federation. I salute you and wish you well. And if we are able to pull through this against the odds, I want you all to know that the drinks are on me. G'day 'mates.]
A drink was the last thing Gakor wanted at this point! She was done celebrating! This further pulled her into the hangover, her throbbing head not allowing her to recall this was a holodeck experience. In her mind, it was real.
An image of a young security guard waifed into being.
[This Swine-faced being appears to be intoxicated.] Said the mannequin Albrecht.
[It is not acting logically] Said a duplicate of Bellen.
A frowning Tash claimed [She was ordered to bed], while itching her spots.
Overwhelmed, Gakor wished she had rested. But the program she ran might produce an answer to her dilemma, and her mind couldn't quite rap itself around coherent thoughts at this point.
[The ship is in danger!] said the security officer.
A beat later, the Bajorian algorithm asked [Can we affect the linear?]
[No!] responded nearly everyone. The chorus was joined by a pale Andorian scientist and other friends Gakor knew from her ship.
The rebellious alien who wore the face of the CO was the single declining vote. Although this nearly made him a candidate for becoming a Pah Writhe, a replica of the Orb of Hope soon graced the holodeck.
Opening the box, Gakor was awed by the dazzling lights. Minutes before the the nova claimed the ship, rays of energy indetectable by mortals began pouring from Holodeck 4...
Unable to contain the potency of the experience, Gakor collapsed into a dream. She materialized in the Hall of Boundless Recipes, nanoseconds before the Galaxy was
.......
Swallowed by a time warp. The crew woke, finding the ship safely orbiting Star Base 357, three days in the past! The General was not going to like the investigation by the Temporal Investigative team. Who would? Wrapped up in pretentious gray Icarian wool sweaters, representatives from the TI office were always a pain in the butt.
And what if the rumors she heard about Q having something to do with this were true? Perhaps there was some way of having the nasty TI operatives 'mowed down' by the eccentric godling.
Otherwise, the Temporal investigators would be barging in unannounced to question everyone. Luckily, Gakor had an idea stewing in the back of her brain that might help her avoid an unpleasant encounter. With a growl, Gakor steered herself towards the lounge for a relaxing dinner.
*** 10 Forward ***
Endris was hungry. She preferred eating in 10-Foreward so she could socialize with the crew. Interestingly enough, Lt. Albrecht was there! Gakor waved furiously, finally attracting the attention of her friend. Both set down for Oinkus, which was becoming a more frequent occurrence.
Recovering from her holodeck adventure, Gakor considered requesting leave on Bajor. Aside from the planet's reputed natural beauty, the prophets might have insights into the Teresi virus. An orb experience could give her the hint Endris needed to find a cure. If only she had one solid lead, she might free her world from bondage of disease...
*Yes!*, thought the woman with the pork-like snout. The ship will be laded over at the base for repairs. Now was a perfect time to request leave without disrupting the Galaxy's routine. Without delay, Endris keyed in a request asking for vacation on Bajor.
Discussing her plans with the security officer, the Tellarite wondered if Matthew was interested in attending the Security conference on DS9. After retaking the station, Federation forces and their allies had planed the brainstorming session, eager for new ideas to strengthen defenses of the Alpha quadrant.
Rather than ask directly, Gakor outlined her plans, and let Albrecht reach his own conclusions. The Tellarite had already elected to go on the trip, but it was always nice to bring a friend!

**** Death ****
Death Is good. I had known I was dead but yet I wasn't at the River of Blood. I was in white light. Nilani was in the same area with me. This was strange. The surroundings had changed, In front of me was a Runanbouts LCARS display, I turned my Head and the Medic named Nilani was beside me, I remembered the Shock Wave and ran a scan. Nothing!!!! all it detected was the U.S.S. Galaxy. I heard a noise from beside me and noticed Kahn awakening. I moved my hands over the display turning the Emergancy becon on.
"Where are we?" The doctor Said rubbing her eye's
"We are sitting 40 km off the port side of the U.S.S. Galaxy"
"Oh.."
She sat for a second and then relised the patients in the back of the runabout.
"Damn ::Getting up:: Ensign get us back to the galaxy we have wounded on board!"
"Yes mam"
I watched her run to the back of the runabout. About 20 seconds later another runabout pulled up beside us and tractored us back to the U.S.S. Galaxy
**** 40 min later on the Holodeck ****
"Computer Load archive 101212 Alpha A code name Sold Out."
"Acknowledge Program ready!"
Right in front of me the wrestler named the GIANT appeared. We looked each other in the eyes, the referee started the bell. The Giant tried to dropkick me. But I avoided it turning around and grabing the Giants neck, I then lifted him off the ground and proformed his own manouver, The Chock Slam. The Giant didn't get back up and I got the win. The program suddenly disappeared and In front of me stood Doctor Kahn, In her hands she had a pair of ancient earth weapons called Sai's.
"What do you Intend to do with them?" I commented.
"Well I was reading your Starfleet records and I noticed that you were good at All Weapons. So here I am challenging you to a fight!"
I started to laugh. She was a good 1 and a half feet smaller than me. I looked down at her and accepted.
"Computer! I require a Samuri sword. 6 Feet long from bottom to top. 2 Inch handle. Original metal construction."
"Acknowledge"

*** Ten Forward ***
During course of their conversation Greer suddenly decided to pinch Ronni's arm, the Delphinian responded by hitting him back in the arm as a reflex action. "What was that for!" she complained.
"Just checking to see if we're still alive." he smiled.
"You could have just used a tricorder you know." she said rubbing the now tender area of her arm. "Or better, pinch yourself."
"Ah, but if we were dead then I speculate that the tricorder would show we were alive because it would be the tricorder would also be 'dead'." Greer said in a silly voice. "Besides, pinching oneself is not an established empirical method for determining you're alive."
"Now you're just being silly."
"Sure. I'm just glad I can still joke around." he said, starting to change his voice to a more serious tone, "I mean we were supposed to be dead Ronni, from supernova we witnessed only occurred hours ago, yet is not due to occur for another three days."
"The intrigue of a temporal paradox Greer." Ronni said excitedly before taking a sip of her fifth glass of Rigallian tanga juice. "I think it's fascinating."
"I agree tota
lly. I mean just being able to actually witness this kind of phenomenon is extraordinary, if not mysterious." Greer replied. "The mechanics of a normal temporal hiccup usually dictates that we would retain no prior knowledge of the future, however, in this case the crew seem to have been able to remember the events leading up to the supernova, despite the ship's computer contains no records of the Jem'Hadar attack or the Argonii explosion."
"I guess the standard model never factored omnipotence." Ronni commented.
"Agreed." Greer agreed before yawning. "Computer, what is the time?"
[Time is twenty three hundred hours forty minutes]
"I should go and get some sleep, I feel like I've been awake for more a week and I've still got to be back on bridge duty early tomorrow morning. We've still got a heap of work to do."
"I guess I'll see you at the usual time tomorrow." she paused. "Or is that today?"
"Who knows anymore Ronni." Greer said smiling, "Who knows. Good night Ronni."
"Good night Greer."
*** Deck 08, Room 2133 ***
"Warm milk, dash of nutmeg." he said to the replicator, hoping the mild sedative effect of the beverage would help him to sleep well. Taking a sip he noticed Jasey sleeping near one of the chairs near the large windows which allowed him to look into space.
"What have you been up to you silly cat." he said as he gave her a scratch behind the ears. Jasey gave him a brief glance and then in her usually arrogantly manner she returned to sleep.
Taking another sip of his milk Greer sat down in one of the comfortable chairs which gave him a view of space in preparation for some sleep. Looking into the void, he began to remember the awesome sight of the Argonii star as it threw off its gaseous layer and collapsed under its own weight, as it went supernova, and the massive shockwave produced by it. A supernova, according to the ship's chronometer, that has not yet happened.
"Erikson to Sullax." he said tapping his comm badge, remembering something he needed to do.
[Sullax here.]
"Ensign, remind 'Commander Casey that we'll be launching three class-8 probes at four hundred hours. We want those probes to arrive on time for the supernova."
[I've already taken the liberty of doing so sir. The probes are prepped and ready to go.]
"Good work Ensign, I'll see you in a few hours then. Erikson out."
The activated amino acids in the milk taking effect, Greer made his way to his bed to get some sleep before he was due for duty the next morning. "Computer, reset alarm for seven hundred hours forty." he said as he lay his head on the pillow.
[Alarm reset for seven hundred hours forty.]

Captain's Log: Stardate 49802.12
The Galaxy has been docked at Starbase 357 for the last several days and has successfully delivered the medical supplies needed to help maintain the fleet after the battle at Deep Space Nine.
The crew of the Galaxy is still a little disoriented after our experience near the Argonii system. Everyone remembers everything, right up to the point where the level twelve shock wave from the Argonii Star destroyed the USS Galaxy... and then we found ourselves here, at Starbase 357. Everyone but myself, that is. I remember everything that happened up to that point, and everything experienced in the alternate universe. I am not looking forward to writing up a full report on this innocent for Starfleet Command.
To help settle the nerves of the crew, I've authorized shore leave for anyone who wishes to take it. Right now the spirits of the Federation are high, having won our first major victory in a long time by retaking DS9 back from the Cardassian-Dominion Alliance.
Retaking DS9 was a huge boost to the Federation, but it didn't come without a price. Many Starships were damaged or destroyed in the skirmish. In order to insure that those ships that remain are fully staffed and ready to defend the Alpha quadrant from further aggressive actions by the Dominion or other hostile forces, Starfleet Command is reassigning many personnel through out the fleet. Those officers stationed on ships no longer serviceable and space worthy because they are too badly damaged from the war are being reassigned to other vessels. Many of the Galaxy's excellent officers are among those being sent out to new assignments on other ships. Their excellence and experience make them all fine candidates for these field promotions. I am sure they will make fine replacements for those officers that were killed in the line of duty while serving on board the other Starships. Likewise, the Galaxy will be receiving many new personnel transferring in from other ship assignments while those vessels that didn't fair the battle against the Dominion as well as the Galaxy, are repaired or decommissioned by Starfleet. I look forward to welcoming the next batch of transferees in a few minutes.
Captain Price deactivated his monitor, ending his log entry, before rising and adjusting his duty jacket. It felt great being back in a regulation Starfleet uniform once again, and not that open chested tunic from the alternate universe. Lee exited his ready room and prepared to make his way to the turbolift.
"Captain, Engineering reports that the repairs to the ship are nearly complete sir." Commander Sterner relayed.
"Fair dinkum 'mate. let 'em know I think they did a bonzer job. I need to go to transporter room one and welcome a new group of crew members on board. Want to come Commander?"
Joerg gave the Captain a nod. "I would like that sir. I don't think I'll be missed here on the bridge, us being in space dock and all." He smiled.
Lee gave a half grin, "Aye 'mate. I think Ensign Shanika can handle the conn while we are gone."
The Romulan officer turned her head and gave the Captain a slight nod in acknowledgment. "Thank you Captain."
"You see?" Lee smiled, "Common 'mate. I'd like to 'ave my First Officer with me when I greet this group of young officers."
Joerg made his way to the turbolift with the Captain and the two men stood there while the doors closed behind them.
"Transporter room one." Lee ordered. The turbolift quickly began to move.
"I'm looking forward to reading your full report on the Argonii System Captain." Sterner commented, "It will be interesting to find out what happened to you while the anomaly happened."
Lee shook his head while rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, "I'm not looking forward to writing it 'mate. Once Starfleet reviews it, I'm sure they are just going to have more questions that I'm not sure I'm prepared or capable of answering."
Before Joerg could respond, the lift stopped and the doors opened. Captain Price removed his hand from behind his neck and motioned for Sterner to exit. "Commander?"
A short jaunt down the corridor of deck 6, the two men found themselves in transporter room #1. Transport Specialist Treudeux stood by at the controls and smiled warmly at the Commander and Captain as they entered.
"Captain. Commander." Arielle nodded to each of them, "I was just preparing to transport another group of officers over to the Galaxy sir." the Specialist explained.
"Proceed 'mate. The Commander and I are here to greet the new crew members."
Treudeux smiled before turning her attentions to the transporter controls. After tapping a few buttons, she ran her hand across the actuation slider to energize the coils. A familiar humming sound sang out, and a short time later three officers materialized on the transporter pad before the Captain and Commander Sterner.
"Welcome aboard the USS Galaxy 'mates." Captain Price called out to the three officers. "I am your Captain, Lee Price. And this is Commander Joerg Sterner, the Galaxy's Executive Officer. Please, step down off the transporter and introduce yourselves 'mates." Lee said with a smile.
Banzon, Rodley and Lamarsh each slowly stepped off the transporter pad and stood facing Captain Price and Commander Sterner in a semi straight line, like this was a cadet drill or something. Joerg rubbed a hand across his lips as if he were scratching himself, but Lee could see he was suppressing a grin.
"Well then, why don't we start with you 'mate?" Captain Price said looking at Ensign Banzon and extending his hand to shake, "Why don't you tell me and the Commander about yourself and your last assignment?"
** Bridge ISS Galaxy **
Commander Thomas sat on the bridge watching the Galaxy continue flying towards the Agroni Star. Chris was at a loss to say something about why they were doing this stunt. Though the one question racing through his mind, was why where they doing this. He finally decided to demand an explanation for why they were trying this crazy stunt. He could wait no longer, as he knew they had to be approaching the fail safe point of no return.
"Captain why are flying into this star!" Thomas demanded. He didn't return command of this ship just so that the captain could destroy it for no good reason. Nor would he let him if he didn't have a good explanation.
"Commander I am going to have to ask you to just trust me that this is for the best." Captain Price responded.
"Sir, with all due respect flying into a star is crazy." Thomas said looking at the captain.
"Sir we've entered the star's gravitational pull to the point of no return." Helm reported.
Commander Thomas returned to his attention to the viewscreen there was no point in arguing the stupidity of this action. They'd already gone beyond their chance to turn back.
Thomas watched as the great ship sailed into the star and into oblivion.
** Bridge USS Galaxy **
Chris sat at ops looking over the ships systems trying to determine if there were any problems. For some reason he felt that he should find something wrong with the ship, but he couldn't, no matter how many different calculations or variations he ran. Nothing can back that would support his feeling. He couldn't explain it and thus he had decided that he had wasted enough time porsuing this investigation.
With that Chris chose to return his attention to other duties that were normal routine. He really wondered what happened. There was nothing he could do or say to explain his feeling so he returned to his job. Some days it just didn't pay to get out of bed.

Miran rocked with Lara. She had no clue what happened but it had scared her very badly. If the ship had been destroyed her precious daughter would have died and not have the life that Miran would do absolutely anything to give to her.
She needed Deiran really bad.
***Later
The captain had authorized shore leave for anyone to take it. He had said that a trip to Bajor was not out of the question and Miran was ready to take it. Except for the odd experiance with the obelisk right before she found out she was pregnant with Lara, she hadn't been on Bajor since she was Lara's age.
She hadn't talked with Deiran but she packed her bags anyway. She would see if he would want to go when he came back from whatever he was doing. Miran wanted a little time with her family before returning to full duty. Plus it would give her and Deiran time to talk about what they would do with Lara when they both wre on duty.
Deiran walked into their quarters. He drew her into his arms and kissed her. He then saw the packed bag.
"Going somewhere?"
"That is what I wanted to talk to you about. I want to go to Bajor. If you do not want to you can stay but I would really want you with me. It would be really nice just the three of us. Please?"
She looked up at him with her best puppy dog eyes and waited his answer.

***** Sickbay *****
Cat was very preoccupied as she stumbled into Sickbay. Walking the corridors the continual sensation of déjà-vu assaulted her senses. Things were similar but different, she know that an ensign would come around a corner, but they were calm, not in a panic as she thought they would be. Soon the feeling disappeared but the dreams and the memories stayed.
She walked in and a number of crew was in there, many seemed agitated and nervous. Cat knew how they felt. She had seen the confusion in all the people's faces coming in and this was mirrored in everybody's face here.
"Doctor, over here!"
Cat turned to see Fisher move a junior lieutenant to a bio-bed. "What's the problem, Fischer?"
"He came in, unstable on his feet and collapsed. Haven't had much of a chance to scan him yet!"
"Grab me when you're done. What the hell is going on?" she exclaimed to herself and the rest of the universe.
"That is something we would all like to know, Cat." Fischer returned.
"You as well, eh?" asked Cat. A nod was his only reply.
Jurelle, D'tarna and Nilani seemed busy going from patient to patient, some words here, the hiss of the hypo every now and again.
Cat moved over to a bed with someone she had not seen for a while. A restraint field was restricting Counsellor Wilson. Cat moved over to Leslie's bed and checked out her notes. She moved over to Leslie gave her best soothing smile and released the restrainment.
"Thanks Doctor"
"Counsellor, How do you feel at the moment?"
"Oh, Fine" Cat heard the stress in Leslie's voice.
"Counsellor, I would like you to stay in Sickbay for a couple of days."
"I can't do..."
"that." Cat finished the sentence. "Yes you can, you were discovered in the corridor collapsed. You were having a form of seizure. I would like for you to stay here for observation."
"But..."
"Counsellor, NO buts. You were placed under a restraining field to stop the chance of injuring yourself. Leslie, have you got any idea what may have caused this?"
Leslie looked at Cat, her own training could see that Cat was not only looking for an answer to help her, also an answer that Cat could tell herself. Leslie's training kicked in overriding her own problems for a little while.
"Cat, I think it is the same thing that is causing all of this. We have gained three days from somewhere, I can see that you know what I mean. We all know it. At the end of those three days, we all died. But we didn't. We are alive and that in itself is the most important thing."
Cat sat heavily down and for a few seconds Leslie saw past the Doctor act to the real Cat. A confused person looking for some kind of order. Cat realised what was happening and the Doctor was back. She looked at Leslie, "Looks like your department is going to be busy. So take this chance of rest while you can."
Cat smiled and moved away to look upon Lt Burns condition. "Ok, Fischer, what we got?"
"Slight skull fracture and concussion, what ever he hit has a respectable dent in it, he hit it hard." Cat took the tricorder and agreed with Fischer.
Cat worked on Burnsie, attending to his wound. After she had finished, everything showed he was sleeping peacefully. Neural Activity suggested he was dreaming, but everything appeared normal. "Call me when he wakes up, should be in a couple of hours."
Cat noticed that Jurelle had taken a few moments for a breather. "You got any idea what happened Jurelle?" asked Cat. Jurelle looked at the Caitian doctor and just shook her head. "Let's hope something comes soon."
Jurelle gave a wry smile, "So do I. But until someone sees fit to inform us what is going on we have people to look after."
Cat went back to work but what was needed here wasn't bandages and hypos but words and with Counsellor Wilson in, she could be a great help.
"Leslie, If you feel up to it, I think we could do with your help. I know what I said, but I think we really need it."
Leslie looked at Cat and...
Forced a weak smile. "Of course," she said curtly, pushing herself off the bed.
Her balance was not good, for a moment it felt as though Leslie would fall. She did in fact, pitch forward, but Cat caught her. "Thanks."
"No problem," Cat replied, "just take it easy."
Leslie gave a lopsided grin, then took a small step forward. Her mind set, she and Cat set to work.

**** Holodeck ****
I was walking past the Holodecks when I had noticed that Kornan had activated a fighting program. I decided to enter the Holodeck and fight him my self. I entered the Medical Emergancy Overide password and entered the Holodeck.
["Ahh What are you doing here? ::looking at the Doctor::"]
"I am here to fight you!! ::pulling a pair of sai's from behind my back:: If your man enough"
The Klingon looked at me and started to laugh.
["Very well then."]
The 7 foot 4 klingon asked the computer to replicate him an ancient samuri sword. With in seconds he had a sword to his specifications. I raised the Sai's and made my attack. He used the sword to stop my advance. He then threw me to the wall, bringing the sword to bare. As he started to attack I tried to look for a weakness, I couldn't find one as the giant started forcing me back to the wall. He swung the sword 4 more times and when I wasn't looking brought out a klingon dagger and placed it against my throat.
::screaming:: "I give In!!!"
The klingon lowered the weapons and stood up straight.
["You fight well for a religous person. And you have honor in the way you fight."]
"Thank you." I looked to the wall and realised the time. "Damn Look I have to get to sickbay. we will continue this later o.k."
The klingon looked at me and noded his head. I exited the Holodeck and walked to the turbo lift. Ordering it to the deck where sickbay was located. Upon exiting the Turbo lift I walked the few meters to the Sickbay door. I ented the door to see many of the doctor in there.
"Hi all. What's happening?"
From the corner Cat's voice spoke up.
["Well nothing much except for my brain feels like it's been hit the a gold brick with a slice of lemon wraped around it"]
"Ahhh very well. I am holding a pray meeting in my quarters, it seams a lot of the crew are having problems. The prophets have the answer. Anyway I am going to be in my office praying. If you need anything, someone to talk to. You are most welcome to come in."
I walked into my office, sat on my chair and started praying
By: MajorJBX@webtv.net (Julius Banzon)
Dr. Julius Banzon sat on the corner of his bed. In the past few days he has been awkward, being on a new ship, seeing people you hardly know. He wasn't successful finding the happinings on the ship. Mostly he stayed in his room reading. He sat on his bed reading a story. It was 2200. It was late. He got up and looked in the mirror. In the mirror he saw himself and a little box on a table. He walked to the box and picked it up. It said: To:Banzon Julius : ) From: Your Family. He opened it up. A black clavian was inside. He smiled and picked it up. He started to play. He played for a while then he heard his commbadge beep. "Dr. Banzon Julius here",he said. "Hello, its me,Krystal",a womans voice said. He froze and didn't say anything. Krystal was his sister in Bajor. "Hello",Banzon said again. No one answered. He shook his head and tried to shake that thought away, the thought that her sister died. He has heard stories that people get to talk to their loved ones before or after they die,far or close together. He closed his eyes and shook his head. He wanted to get out of this room,he opened his quarters door and walked down the hall.
He walked down the hall hoping someone would walk by. Finally an ensign came walking down the hall toward me. She smiled and said hello. Banzon nodded. Another ensign walked by. "Aren't you the knew docter?",he said. "Yes,I am",Banzon said. He nodded and walked away. He got to deck 12,and stopped by the door. "sickbay",he said softly. The door opened and he walked in. A young medical docter came to me and said. "Dr. Banzon, why are you here,it not your time",the docter said. "Hello",Julius said. Julius looked behind him and saw a body on the table,a woman,Bajoran. Krystal. "Oh my gosh",he whispered. He ran over there and closed his eyes,he opened them and no one was on the table. "You okay?",the docter said. "Yeah",Banzon said and left the room.
He was back in his quarters. He was to tired to say anything,it was already 11 hours later from when he was in sickbay. He layed on his bed, then his commbadge went beeping. "Hello",he said hoping it wouldn't be Krystal. "Hello Docter, its time you have a look at the sickbay",she said. He felt more like a crewmember right then. He gave a slight smile,no one far away could see, then went to to deck 12.

Ryak got to his quarters and sat down in his chair. For some reason he was exhausted. He started reading the information gathered from his simulation. He wasn't getting any where. None of the numbers made any sense. Ryak kept at it trying to figure out where he had gone wrong. Ryak could feel his eyes getting heavier and heavier.
Ryak slowly opened his eyes. He was still in the chair at his desk. "Computer, time."
"The time is 0053."
Ryak shook his head. He had slept for 24hrs. "Computer call up the duty roster for the science department."
The computer placed the roster onto his computer screen. Ryak's first shift would be with Lt. Erikson. Ryak also noticed what would be happening that day.
Ryak tapped his com badge and said, "Ensign Sullax to Commander Casey."
"Go ahead Ensign," Casey responded.
"Sir, I just wanted to remind you that we will be launching three class-8 probes at four hundred hours."
"Understood Ensign, the probes are ready to go at anytime. Is that everything?"
"Yes sir."
"Then good night Ensign. Casey out."
Ryak had the feeling he had done something wrong, but let it pass quickly. Ryak had his shift in a couple of hours so he got up and started getting ready. Ryak finished getting cleaned up. He walked over to the replicator and said, "Hot Chocolate, Cream of Wheat, and toast with honey."
The computer replicated his meal. Ryak grabbed his food placed it on the table grabbed his computer pad and sat down to eat.
Ryak looked at his pad and realized what may have gone wrong. He started doing the calculations. Ryak had forgotten about his meal.
"Almost got it!" Ryak said out loud. Ryak's excitement was beginning to overcome him.
"Erikson to Sullax." the voice said over the com system.
"Sullax here." Ryak tried to hide the frustration in his voice as he responded.
"Ensign, remind Commander Casey that we"ll be launching three class-8 probes at four hundred hours. We want those probes to arrive on time for the supernova."
"I've already taken the liberty of doing so, sir. The probes are prepped and ready to go." Ryak was not impressed at all. he could feel the fork in his hand beginning to rip the skin as he gripped it even tighter.
"Good work Ensign, I'll see you in a few hours then. Erikson out."
Ryak slowly regained his patience and looked at his pad again. The moment had left him. Ryak finished his meal, brushed his teeth, put on his uniform and sat down at his desk. Ryak turned on his computer and typed out a request to Lt. Erikson to ask if he could stay on the Galaxy to work on his experiment instead of taking shore leave.
"Computer send memo....Time?"
"Memo sent, the time is 730 hours."
Ryak turned off the lights and headed for the science lab.

Looking up suddenly, D'Akana sniffed the air and tilted his head in surprise.
Stepping back, he saw his food bowl was full, as was his water dish. However, he definitly remebered having finished both of them.
He sat on his haunches, thinking, 'Ground not shake, no bright coloured lights. Master not here.'
Walking out into the bedroom, he started getting very frightened. Heading into his special section, he couldn't find his master there either.
Moving back into the lounge area, he found nobody around. Whimpering in confusion, he started racing around the room, squealing and whimpering in confusion.

The cargo hold was quiet, save for the ragged breathing of a lone Starfleet security officer leaning against a cargo bulkhead wall. It was a near and stark reminder of the spectre of death that hovered above him and the rest of the Galaxy crew only a few moments beforehand.
