Background:

Lexana(24611 bytes)Lexana was born in a Romulan Prison camp. Her mother 3/4 Betazoid from the 4th house had been taken hostage on a raid, her husband had been killed and her 6 year old daughter was left on the colony ship in a jeffries tube. The only survivor left on the ship. After spending one year as a prisoner, Miinae Ral fell in love with one of the prison guards and several months later, Lexana was born. Miinae found her way back to earth to drop off her daughter with the financially stable, yet childless Bragg family. Lex settled in well to the Scottish climate and her mother returned to her lover.

The Braggs (A Starfleet Family- Commodore Bragg was often a guest lecturer at the Academy, and LtCdr Sheila Bragg was a retired counselor) raised her with all the love they could, and gave her everything she needed to get on in life.

She was a happy child and had many friends, her bubbly personality and sense of humor made sure she was popular. She loved to make people laugh, and would often put on "Shows" with her friends to entertain her "Aunt" and "Uncle". Sometimes she would take her horse and vanish for a day or so. Her adoptive parents gave her a necklace with a tracking device so that they could know where she was, rather than worrying. Lex wore it all the time, unaware of it's real purpose, just wanting to keep a reminder of those she loved.

Going to the Academy was never an issue for Lex. It was simply accepted that she would, and that she would go into counseling, which she did. She passed with honors and a minor in Law. At the Academy, she was a busy person. Being involved with her sorority, the Tae-Kwan club and coaching junior students. Parties were her speciality, and when she wasn't throwing them, she was at them. There was a problem between herself and another counseling major- cadet Alexa Casey. It seemed the two women were in competition most of the time, both socially and academically. It was a running joke in the Academy of who would come first in what event. And there were two definate groups of friends, each who quietly disliked the other.

Her wicked sense of humor often led to campus-wide pranks, although she was never caught for most of them. She was very popular with the male cadets, often hanging out with them rather than those of her own sex or hermats. She liked acting like a guy and doing loud outrageous things, she always had to be the center of attention. Her smart mouth usually got her laughs or into trouble, she still lets sharp remarks slip out , she can't seem to help it.

Her first assignment was to the USS Galaxy, she said goodbye to her "family" to which she was very close, and her Horse- Spock- and left for duty.

After a short time on board the USS Galaxy, Lexana earned her first promotion to Lieutenant junior grade.

In late 2374, Lexana was reprimanded for violating patient - counselor confidentiality when she physically assaulted another officer that she knew to be abusing one of her patients. Lexana was demoted one step to Ensign and restricted from Counseling. She put in for a transfer to Security and has been assigned to Gamma shift on board the USS Galaxy. She is currently Shift Manager for Delta Shift and is studying for specialization in Hostage Negotiation and Bomb Disposal. She's also about to take her 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do.

In early 2375, Lexana was promoted while serving on board the USS Galaxy in the Security department. Her rank was bumped back up to Lieutenant junior grade. Later, at the end of the Dominion War, Lexana was again promoted to Full Lieutenant and received the Starfleet Medal of Honor Citation.

Personality profile:
Hello.....jpg (17700 bytes)

She's very witty, and sharp with comebacks. Often using humor to hide her true feelings. Those that get past the rocky exterior know her better though. She's a loyal friend, and very passionate about any relationship- wether it's love or hate.

Even though she's half Romulan, she knows nothing about her heritage. Having been raised on earth by adoptive parents, she feels there's no where she really belongs. Perhaps that added to her desire to join Starfleet, as everyone had something to belong to. She knows she's a hybrid, and is not comfortable about it. She wishes she knew more about her real parents, but is afraid of what she might discover.

She feels her friends are her family, and would do anything to protect them.

Special notes:

Although calm on the exterior, Lex has a burning personality on the inside. Sometimes, when distressed or angry, she lets it slip out. Things get broken when she does.

When depressed, she often goes through hell. Not telling anyone, she'd rather keep it inside. Before transferring to Security, she had several bouts of Bullimia and would mark her wrists with a razor. Despite medical technology, she refuses to have these scars removed, and keeps them as a reminder that she's alive and of the mistakes she made.
