Background:
Valen was born on Vulcan, and was born into a family of seven (her parents, four brothers and herself) Both of her parents were in starfleet, and only left there posts to give birth to and raise Valen. Her father Tuvek, who is an engineer at starfleet HQ, and her mother Mavek, a Science Officer aboard the USS Havanah, were both allowed to leave while they raised young Valen.

Her younger brother (the youngest of the four) who was called Mulik was staying on Vulcan until he was old enough to either leave for Starfleet, or to pursuie any other career he felt like.

While one of her brothers, Yaqulk, was already assigned to Starbase 27 as a science officer, the other two were still going thought Starfleet acadamy when Valen was born.

Ever since Valen was little she knew that she wanted to follow in her fathers footsteps, and become an engineer. And so when she was old enough she was sent to learn from one the engineers that resided on Vulcan. She also attended school on Vulcan, but when she was old enough she left for Earth (and Starfleet Acadamy).

Upon graduating from Starfleet Academy in the top percentile of her class, Valen was assigned for a brief period to the USS Galaxy in early 2375. Because of the constant personel shortage through out the fleet with the raging Dominion War, Valen was transfered to the USS Ajax a short time after being assigned to the Galaxy. Vaken didn't like her new posting aboard the Ajax, and upon the end of the Dominion war, asked to be re-assigned to the Galaxy. She now serves there as an Engineer with the rank of Ensign.

Personality profile:
Valen is a clam and quite character (like most other Vulcans), but isn't shy, and is always glad to get in and help solve a puzzle, but once she starts, then she wont leave the job until it is finished. [or she gets tired] She is also a stable character, and therefore can be trusted by her coliques not to crumble under immense stress.

Special notes:
Valen is an averagely built Vulcan, with the usual characteristics(brown hair,pionted ears,curved eyebrows), but has slightly greenish eyes. She also has well built arm muscles form extensive archery, and also from hiking and rock climbing. She also has what seems to be a birth-mark on her left thigh.
